- whatithink...very interesting perspective.
I fortunately had parents that helped me realize I could do anything if I tried. - Reply to this comment

If I knew the answer to that question, I wouldn''t be rich, but my karma would be flawless. I wish I knew. - Reply to this comment
- Ok, it''s bad ... it''s not good. And, there''s long term ramifications. Now, having said that .... no one died and at least they didn''t have a pact to commit suicide like other groups of kids have in the past.

- aggiekat2004,
A sociologist once found that the children of the rich and the children of the poor are the same children. One doesn''t think that life will get better, so they don''t have to try. The other doesn''t think that life can get any worse, so they don''t have to try. Of course these are generalizations, but from an overall perspective it sometimes seems correct. - Reply to this comment
- cc: You''re angry. You''re in the profession, so check out the research of gender-specific programming for young women ... it''s impressive and yields results. Email me and we''ll open a dialogue ... I can share what a committee on our campus has been doing about this problem. ericmelder @ gmail dot com. I won''t get back to you until Monday, as I work three 15 hour shifts on the weekend at our campus.

If everyone waited till they could afford children, then most people wouldn''t procreate at all.
So, they might as well have them young, and have healthy kids. As you know,,the clock does expire. - Reply to this comment
- What no racist comments? Oh these girls were white, if they were hispanic or black, the racists would be out in full force blasting their culture with every racist and degrading comment they could think of.
But since these girls are white it''s okay. It says a lot about whites in america these days. - Reply to this comment

I see you didn''t present any facts in YOUR post either, chief. And you didn''t refute my point that it is not liberal policies that have overcrowded our prisons, but conservative ones. You''re living in the land of theory, my friends - go to the Justice Dept. website, and see how many non-violent criminals are being held in prison, then get back to me. In the mean time, stop being hypocritical...you don''t need to visit prisons to know how public policy is affecting the amount of prisoners. - Reply to this comment
- Gosh, you''re right. Search "George Bush" and "IQ" and you''ll find that there''s actually dispute over the actual number. I think that one estimate is 90...not much higher than average!

- Where have you been for the last few decades. "This" is what you get when you have "your" way. You just taught the kids how to do this. Now you''''ll probably want the welfare system to pay for your mistaken theory, right? Do you vote? I know of a lawyer running for President that sounds a lot like you.

Excuse me, but where have YOU been? The "abstinence only" s-e-x education policy pushed by the current government is failing this country. "This" situation has evolved because of "your" way and that of the Bush administration--my (the liberal) way would be to teach these kids.
But you are right that there is a lawyer running for President that thinks like I do. Obama in ''08! - Reply to this comment
