Why aren''t the men/boys in this story being charged with statutory rape? According to Mass. law if these girls were under 16 when the *** took place the men/boys can still be charged even with consent. How about these guys paying for their kids. Granted the girls were stupid and that is going to stay with them the rest of their lives, but it seems the men/boys need to held accoutable.

This is how we''ll get our next generation of welfare mothers and children. Where are their parents and if the laws held the parents responsible for the actions of a minor maybe some of this would stop.

It isn''t up to our school systems to monitor the *** habit of kids it should be their parents.

Todays society wants to blame the school system for everything a kid does wrong. Granted I''ll be the first to say our school system needs a good overhaul, but parents need to parent their children.

These kids will one day know that
they were conceived out of a pact.

Not conceived from love, but rather
out of a dare.

When a female dog has puppies the rules
change for the female dog.

It is the same for a human female.

And no, I am not to compare the two females
just as I am not comparing the pups to the
babies.

Shows you what a good role model Jaime Lynn Spears is for 16 year old girls.

This happens when a village raises your kids instead of the parents.

The village in "Lord of the Flies", perhaps...

Did you ask how many parents supported their offspring''s intentions?

Did you ask how many parents actually knew about it?

Were they parenting?

Teens will rebel, but where did they get that idiot idea from? Sally Jesse Raphael? Maury? Where?

I''m not sure how birth control works when you want to get pregnant on purpose. It seems like Dr. Guthrie hit the nail on the head. These girls are not getting the attention they need from their parents or the role model a responsible and loving father would provide.

I''m sorry maxify55 but, I must add:

Democrats in Washington pass laws to tax the working class and give the money single moms with no education to help raise their children. After the obligitory 70% cut for administration. Now back to teaching "*** education" (if it feels good do it) in kindergarden.

Lives unhappily ever after in state of constant debt.

Americana at it''''s finest. Look familiar? It shouldn''''t but it does.

Sadly, this is a story that will become more commonplace as we go forward.
WHY?
This story is all about HOPE vs.HOPELESS!
Our culture is centered on materialistic values while public shame is becoming nearly extinct.

Young people are losing their faith of ever attaining ''The American Dream''. They KNOW they will likely have much LESS than their parents had.

This is a sad time for the American Culture.
Our kids are lost. Is there better proof than this story?
Don''t blame the parents. Working class folks are typically working two jobs in order to buy gasoline and groceries should not be labelled as irresponsible or bad parents. This is a symptom of a sick cultural
phenomena within our society.
Why we live is certainly as important as how we live.

This could be one of those John Cougar Mellencamp songs.....

Gets pregnant at 15 after unprotected s e x with some shiftless h o r n y loser. He didn''''t like the feel of a condom so of course she gave in because he was so handsome, charming & irresistible. Of course he disappears when she tells him she''''s pregnant.

Drops out of high school. Huge mistake.

Has the baby. Family tries very hard to see the positive & make the best out of it.

Baby mama gets a job at a fast food place to help pay for all the endless stuff the baby needs.

Mom/Grandma/Big sister end up doing a lot of baby sitting. Like they got nothing better to do.

Baby mama talks about going to college later but of course she never gets around to it. Ends up living in a trailer near the Purdue plant. Hooks up with another
chinless wonder. Has another baby. A girl. She''''ll grow up to have a baby when she''''s 16 too.

Lives unhappily ever after in state of constant debt.

Does it ever occur to Christians that not everyone is a Christian? Why do they assume that all of us want to read their Bible quotations?

I have spent my time in church. I don''t want to have the Bible shoved down my throat here. I bet Christians wouldn''t be thrilled if Muslims quoted the Koran every other day here.

Teenage girls are determined to get their parents upset by their silly & stupid shenanigans. I feel sorry for the kids that they have. "How can I screw up my life? Let me see... hmm. Must be some way."

drmaqazi;

Dude, why are you quoting scripture about adultery with married people?
Get a clue and find the scriptures pertaining to permiscuity!!
Or just shut up, you sound stupid.

"Promiscuity"

Spell check aside, and this is more an open message than being directed toward anybody, and regardless of scientific accuracy, the Bible set the rules of a society for good reason. Being nice, helpful, and polite upfront helps reduce selfishness and nastiness later on. It''s by no means perfect, but most people who knock it tend to forget the underlying meanings and, are often inconsiderate and selfish themselves. (Which is not the same thing as being self-concerned, but that''s another story.)

Hopefully, the judicial system will now find the ''homeless man'' a nice, warm place to live. Even give him three squares. Maybe even a some other ''roomie'' will try to knock him up. At least one can hope.

BTW - If the girls live with their parents, qualifying for welfare and/or WIC will take the parents'' incomes into consideration as household resources.

Most likely they will be denied benefits unless they manage to move out on their own.

Someone brought up a good point. If the parents of these minor girls are responsible for their healthcare, couldn''t they require a legal abortion or adoption?

Presumably, the father of many of these babies is a homeless man, so these pregnancies are not the result of what these young ladies think is ''passion'' or ''love'' and certainly not any type of committed relationship.

So, of the girls'' parents have the legal right to require an abortion or require adoption and fail to do so, then they get what they deserve when they are stuck caring for these ''children of convenience.''

My previous post is absolute proof of our sexually repressed society. Please note that the word which comprises the first three letters of "sexually" has been censored whereas "chopping people up with a chainsaw, killing people with machine guns" is left verbatim. Thanks CBS for proving my point.
