bajajohn1,,, It was nothing but a 20 second sound bite out of a long career of preaching.

McCain''s Hagee still says Catholics are Evil - And Chuckles Cheney uses them for fund raising for McBush

NEW YORK -- Vice President *** Cheney attended a fund-raising dinner tonight for New York Republicans, which at one point was led by a pastor%u2019s prayer that went after Barack Obama and his former controversial pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

Monsignor James Lisante, a local religious leader from Long Island, prayed to God as he attacked Obama.

It''s been "amazing" the last three days to see the republican media and operatives all in lockstep using the same talking points and exact same phrases (not the the Scott I knew, etc.") parade across the airwaves in virtual goose-step marching point mode to take Scott down the way they''ve taken down everyone else who exposed their lies in the last 7 years. They''ve certainly gotten away with a murderous 7 years of lies and killing and literally raping the economy of the US and Iraq.

Of course everyone is lying except the neocons I suppose. Their chicken-hawk ways have cost us $trillions now and in the future. Liars. They should be jailed for treason.

My name is talkingham and I approve this message.

He stood at a mic everyday and backed Bush, if he had any problems with policy, he should have spoke then. As long as he was drawing a paycheck from the American people, he was okey-dokee with Bush. Now he has an act of conscience, who is he kidding. He''s a hypocrite of the worse kind.

I agree roger_inkart, the truth may be coming out but it''s nothing new. But for all the attention, it''s lame. He is exposing his lack of character by releasing a book now. If he''s so righteous, donate the profits to a veterans group or to Obama''s campaign before the whole country goes to hell.

McClellan what a joke and pathetic creature you are. Just go fade away.

What I find curious about the conservatives smearing of McClellan is very little to do with contradicting what he is saying. They (both the White House attack dogs and the Bush apologists on these boards) smear him, call him names, question his character, but they all seem to stop short of calling him a liar or that his account isn''t accurate.

So, I''m left to believe the Bush apologist - perhaps only subconsciously - must realize that he is telling the truth. It''s not as if there isn''t ample evidence to support what McClellan is saying anyway, and precious little to contradict it. I would say that the Bush apologist must know - or have known - the war in Iraq was indeed a scam sold to the nation on lies, 1/2 truth, propaganda and fear-mongering.

It''s too bad these people don''t have a conscience, otherwise I can imagine it might be hard to sleep at night knowing you supported a pointless, counterproductive war that has killed 4k US troops, ruined out reputation and credibility and depleted the treasury.

Sounds like a Lame-O book deal was signed. What a hypocrite. Couric nailed him in the interview and then he "forgot" everything he did. So maybe he has Obama fever or something but he''s still a disgraceful hypocrite.

Dole assures McClellan that he won''t read the book -- "because if all these awful things were happening, and perhaps some may have been, you should have spoken up publicly like a man, or quit your cushy, high profile job"

"That would have taken integrity and courage but then you would have had credibility and your complaints could have been aired objectively," Dole concludes. "You%u2019re a hot ticket now but don%u2019t you, deep down, feel like a total ingrate?"

voteforme1,,, It''s still nothing but;

A Bush 3 -- Who''s lobbyists gave us the Mortgage Breakdown & fought efforts to corrected, participated in lobbying for dictatorships, sold out our national assets, & profiteered off the War, country & Troops.

A Clinton 2 -- Who still can''t shake the baggage of Bill

A Younger generation who recongnizes the need for actual change in our nation.

IT''S A NO BRAINER

you and other mainstreamers have left out Obama''s deeper connection with this "priest" ... readers should go to the Chicago Tribune for the money connection and I quote: "Earmarks to St. SabinaIn a Tribune story a year ago, Obama defended special budget earmarks for his district while he was a state legislator, including ones that went to programs associated with Pfleger''s church. Pfleger gave Obama''s campaigns $1,500 between 1995 and 2001, including $200 in April 2001, about three months after Obama announced at least $100,000 in grants to St. Sabina programs. In that story, Pfleger said he made those donations personally, not on behalf of the church or to win grants." (end of quote from Chicago Tribune) Looks like these two have been in political bed for a long time, going back to Obama''s Illinois state senate days (for which records are missing). And by the way, political corruption and the use of taxpayers dollars to build a political base over many years is a crime as well as a "real issue" for those who crave to read about real issues. You should demand your news outlets tell the whole story, not the one you''d prefer to hear. That''s the better way to do something for your country. Follow the money. Men behaving badly should not be rewarded.

I''m not going to vote for this person, I''ll never vote for that person. Look at us; we are all Americans. We only have 3 candidates to choose from. We are going to have live with whoever is elected.

Trust me when I say no one hated it more than I when George Bush was elected and it made me sick to see his face on television but he was the president and I am an American. It''s how our system works. Any one of the 3 candidates will be a major improvement. Let''s all take a deep beath and think what''s best for the country.
