- I really think kids getting their hands on guns, using guns, having no kind of idea what a gun is capable of in the wrong hands, or having an idea and not caring....lets not blame the government on this one....where the HELL are the parents in these situations??

Actually, sblake63 is right about evolution. I''m not a scientist, but I am an engineer. I used to be a devout non believer, but then I had to take a course called thermodynamics.
I realized that nature doesn''t evolve to a higher state from a lower one.....things naturally seek the middle or equalibreium. I''m over simplifying, but you get the idea. And I guarantee you one thing....you cannot change the laws of physics! :) - Reply to this comment

Mayor Daley is a big part of the problem here. He has been against anyone having a gun forever. Chicago has been under the influence of the wrong people for to many years. Organized crime mostly.
Of the states, I think there are 40, that have a right to %u201Ccarry a weapon law%u201D crime has gone down dramatically.
The state of Florida was one of the first to do this. After their law went into effect, the criminal went to assaulting and robbing tourist. Because they did not know who was armed and who was not. So, Florida passed a law so that out of state people could carry a concealed weapon. And that has cut crime again. NOTE THAT I SAID CONCEALED WEAPON. It does not have to be a gun, it can be a club, knife, etc.

I don''t think I''m ''better''. And yes, as long as people remain people, Christians (who aren''t really grounded in their faith) will and do hate. Priests and clergy will molest children. Men of God will commit adultry.

If they were practicing what they learned they would have never ended up in prison. But I have a news flash for you. Fasted growing religion in prison is Islam. It''s done mainly as an act of rebellion because they figure they ended up in prison because that evil white man, so therefore they dont want to embrace the "white man''s God".
It'' will be sad when they have to stand before Christ and he tell''s them "I dont know you". Sad but true.
