"well maybe mr. scaroni wouldn''''t have a problem finding employees in the U.S. if he paid a decent and competetive wage, instead of pennies an hour .." Posted by BattleRoaron

Ok, BattleRoaron, first he would have to provide a living American wage, probably provide benefits like health care, and still might not find enough workers. In the meantime, you''d probably be the 1st to complain when products like lettuce, tomatoes, grapes, etc tipple or quadruple in price! The answer is to provide more temp or seasonal worker permits. Failing that, then more farmers will just move operations out of the country!

They have got to have workers and if crossing the border to get it done is necessary then that is the solution to their problem. The things that we have to do sometimes to get a job done ,might to some seem wrong, but sometimes you just have to do whatever it takes to feed your need.I understand why the farmers are going over the border, same as I understand why the Mexicans that cross our border for work do so.We have to feed, clothe, and have a home for our loved ones, and by any means necessary I will do whatever it takes.

Good! Now that Mexico is raising it''s standard of living, it can also afford to educate it''s people,
give them health and medical care, give them welfare, and even pay for some it''s citizens who will become incarcerated. Maybe Mexico''s leaders will finally stop encouraging it''s people to illegally migrate to the U. S. and stop taking advantage of this country.
Yes; right...

Bring back the WPA and put people to work instead of welfare lines. Pride, self esteem, etc., is associated with a good day''s work.

If that farmer wants to farm in Mexico, so be it - as long as consumers are willing to buy produce from Mexico. I try to buy from U.S. suppliers in all markets in order to support our economy. That includes buying cars from U.S. automakers, groceries, toys, etc. It''s impossible to get everything from here, but every little bit helps.

This man DESERVES to lose a farm or two.

You make a really good observation. So many americans have been told by those in control of the system i.e. able to warp it to funnel money into the hands of a few, that we all need to "sacrifice" and do with less.

That sacrifice has simply been to make some extremely wealthy. That is all in the big final picture that right wing neo "conservatism" has led to.

Newt Gingrich said "greed is good" but greed has harmed this country beyond belief. Many ask for a living wage and are denied. A handful can''t be satisfied with a good living but must have far in excess.

What happens if the system changes and the multi-millionaires and billionaires refuse to work with narrowed profit margins? I guess they just don''t work and earn nothing right? Isn''t that what the arrogant control crowd has told the greater society? If you don''t like it, then here''s your choice, die.

There are prisoners who would work your farms if the state would allow it. they need more money to help pay their child support and save for when they are released. this would also save taxpayers money.

Sarconi says it''s too bad? I think it''s on the right track. Now Sarconi can hope for an economy in Mexico that allows for Mexicans to become wealthy enough to raise their standard of living and buy his and others products. To bring his products into the United States would require import taxes however. This is good for millions of people, not one man Sarconi. If it isn''t good enough I suppose Sarconi can take it like millions of others have, don''t work or work for less.
