- jazzer9: There is a candidate that does what you requested. Talks of what he will and can do for America, the next four yrs. His name is Mike Huckabee. He''s not taken serious because he is not part of what our "all ready government employees" are. He is there and is for real!

- McCain was quick to defend Barack''s middle name but isn''t standing up for the Catholic''s in USA? This is taking the heat off Barack and his church of choice, instead of proving his conservatism, in my opinion. McCain knows exactually what he is doing, helping the front runners, not his party. Shame on all front runners for selling out America. It sure would be nice to put the campiagn money into this great nation, it can be generated to buy a president but not to help the nation? Who''s the oxymorons?

- The fact that McCain actively sought the endorsement of Hagee casts doubt on his perceived integrity. What else will he do to win...no telling. This one may have backfired. Good!!!

- John Hagee doesn''''t know what he is talking about, does he really think he is a worker for God? I doubt it. For one: The Catholic church is not the great wh*ore of Babylon. It''''s funny how people misinterpret the bible or any religious book for their own selfish cause. Babylon was an actual city, not destroyed but abandoned for some unknown reason. Most likely a society that came to economic or social problems and colasped. Sadam Hussin tried to rebuild the city. In ancient times the city was a city of pagans. Believers in the moon God..Al-llah. Sound familar? There are statues and hieroglyph writting pertaining to the moon God. Revelations speaks about Babylon, meaning those who do not believe in the son of God, Jesus Christ as our savior. They they are the fornicators, destroying the saints. The anti-christ are all those who do not believe in the savior Jesus Christ. Thats alot of People, but it does say there will be few that take the road to leading to paradise, and many will follow the road to destruction. Thats not the catholics, catholics believe in the son of God. I hear Christians saying all the time that Catholics are not true Christians, sorry, but they we''re the first Christians. The Catholics and the Methodist are the ones who do the breaking of the bread just like Jesus told us to do in remeberance of him, most Christians do not do that.

- Did McCain unequivocally reject and denounce these anti-Catholic statements by Hagee? No? Then he likely agrees with them.

- I have an idea: Maybe the candidates should talk about what they are going to for our country and what they see there 4 year plan is for their job! Oh, that''s right-the american people do not care. Otherwise the people who are running wouldn''t be candidates!

- Bush knew the political risk of going the ''''Use of Force'''' route instead of requesting a Declaration of War. The President knew that by using Use of Force legislation he would be held fully responsible if the war went bad. But the risk didnt detour him, because he seeked the glory that his father received in the first Iraq War. Actually, the ''''Use of Force'''' legislation is bad for the country, some might say illegal. Use of Force legislation, which essenially burdens the president with full responsiblity for the success or failure of the war, can encourage partisan bickering in Congress and diminish congressional war efforts and public opinion. In a Declaration of War, every member of Congress name is labeled on document, which would encourage members of Congress to work as a unified body and make every effort to win the war. The U.S. hasnt declare war since World War II, Congress has authorized the use of force in every war since that time....

War Without Reason
The total collapse of Bush''s arguments for invading Iraq.
By Fred Kaplan
The official rationales for the war in Iraq now lie in tatters. Earlier in the week, the CIA and Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld conceded that Saddam Hussein had no links to al-Qaida. Yesterday, George W. Bush and *** Cheney accepted the findings of Charles Duelfer, their chief weapons inspector, that Saddam didn''t have WMD after all.
The Duelfer report, President Bush said to reporters on the South Lawn, "confirms the earlier conclusion of David Kay that Iraq did not have the weapons that our intelligence believed were there." Yet, he quickly added, going to war was still the right%u2014the necessary%u2014course of action.
Cheney, speaking in Miami, went further, claiming that the Duelfer report bolstered the case for war. "Delay, defer, wait," he said, "wasn''t an option."
Actually, the Duelfer report states that Saddam Hussein did not have the means. It concludes that, after the 1991 war, "Iraq''s ability to reconstitute a nuclear weapon program progressively decayed." Iraq destroyed its chemical-weapons stockpile in ''91, and "there is no credible indication that Baghdad resumed production." The biological-weapons program was "put on the shelf" after the last facility was destroyed by U.N. inspectors in 1996.

On the South Lawn yesterday, Bush explained why he was mistaken about Saddam''s weapons:
The Duelfer report makes clear that much of the accumulated body of 12 years of our intelligence and that of our allies was wrong, and we must find out why and correct the flaws. %u2026 At a time of many threats in the world, the intelligence on which the president and members of Congress base their decisions must be better%u2014and it will be.
There''s a breathtaking chutzpah about this attempt to put the blame on the intelligence agencies. It brings to mind the joke about the boy who killed his parents, then pleaded for mercy on the grounds that he''s an orphan. Recall that all through 2002, when the White House and Pentagon were preparing to invade Iraq, Cheney and Rumsfeld were annoyed that the CIA was stubbornly failing to find evidence of an Iraqi nuclear program or of a connection between Saddam and al-Qaida. The New York Times reported in October 2002 that Rumsfeld, Paul Wolfowitz, and Doug Feith had set up their own small intelligence shop in the Pentagon to pore over raw intelligence, looking for connections that the CIA had obviously missed.
Meanwhile, Cheney was making trips to Langley, applying pressure at the source. - Reply to this comment

- Bush never initiated those diplomatic efforts nor did he fulfill his obligation to Congress.
Bush was also required to certify that action against Iraq would not hinder efforts to pursue the al Qaeda terrorist network that attacked New York and Washington.
You tell me%u2026
