Katie Couric Interviews Barack Obama's Wife About Their Romance And Kids And Egos On The Campaign Trail
- Michelle Obama told Couric that her first date with Obama was going to his church. Yet, in the chicago tribune, Oct 2007, she said first date was seeing the movie ''''Do the right thing". Also, Barak Obama was still in law school at the time of the first date. He was just a first year law student. Oh, why don''''t she get her stories straight.

I for one don''t care if she lied about her first date so much but when she said she didn''t know if she could support Clinton should Barack lose, It told me all that I need to know about her. I thought it very unbecomming of a potential first lady or even a democrat team player. Very low class and very enlightening. - Reply to this comment
- So I guess you are a self professed Racist. I am from the south also and I know many who are voting for Obama...ever heard of Alabama, Louisiana, and Georgia. People who live in a world of black and white simply cannot recognize something good when it walks up on them. They are so busy living in the past that they are stuck right smack in the past. It is really sad to not be able to move past race at this point. Mrs. Obama is really intelligent. Jackie O spoke french fluently and she was a great international asset to her husband. She was loved internationally. Mrs. Obama is also an asset to her family and her husband. She has talents that cannot be discussed in one television interview. Her job is to support her husband. That is what every candidate expects from their spouse and family. Don''t hate because they are a loving honest family. Love the possibility of electing a family that has integrity and so much more.

- That state, and not Florida, has been the key state in the last 2 elections and that state will decide the election in November.

I don''t know how old you are but Al Gore lost his election bid over 537 votes in Florida. Most people would call that a very key loss if there ever was one. As far as Ohio is concered they don''t have the very large african american population as you stated. It''s fourteen percent and slightly above the national average by only two percent.
I might point out that there are three so called "key" swing states which are fl. oh, and Penn. It is generally accepted by people in the know that you have to win two of the three to win the white house and so far Obams is 0-1. - Reply to this comment

No problemo. The southern states will never go into the blue column and Florida is a lost cause. So it''s irrelevant that southern racists won''t vote for Obama.
The difference in this election will be Ohio. With a poor economy and a huge African American population that will be very motivated to vote with Obama as the nominee, winning Ohio will finally be within reach for the Democrats. That state, and not Florida, has been the key state in the last 2 elections and that state will decide the election in November. And if you think that Hillary will beat Obama in Ohio - just wait and see. You may be surprised. - Reply to this comment
- Well well, Mr. Obama thinks the super delegates should reflect and honor the voters of their state. I think you gave that up when you played up the Kennedy and Kerry endorsements to never before seen hights. No sir, it''s a little bit late for that.

- If nominated, Obama cannot win in November (guaranteed).

Anyone with maturity and a grain of self respect knows that already.
But more important is endless pandering, credulity and the desire to make news-hence generate more money.

Your exactly right. Most of the people who think he can are young people and yankee''s. As someone from the south I can tell you that most white people down here aren''t going to vote for a far left liberal and especially a black one. The minute John McCain says that were going to be able to draw our troop levels down around June or July, Obama''s finished. His answer to Obama''s change and bring people togeather is going to be "Son, I was fighting for your rights when you were still eating boogers and there is not one single member of congress on either side that speaks truth to authority more that I do even when it''s my own party. When it comes to cutting spending, I''m once again in a league of my own" - Reply to this comment

The only thing guaranteed is comments like that prove you are an idiot! It''s a long time until November, and anything can happen! - Reply to this comment

I thought it very unbecomming of a potential first lady or even a democrat team player and I thought it to be about as low class as I''ve ever heard from a canidate or his spouse. I saw it as the most shameless personal attack I''ve seen from anybody this election season and the media has mostly overlooked it. - Reply to this comment
- To the poster who said Michelle acts as bad copy of Jackie Kennedy. Verry funny! But don''t forget one thing.
No disrespect to Jackie, but her role as First Lady was to be seen and not heard, unless asked to speak!
Just be a beautiful presidential wife, devoted mother, smile for the cameras, and tolerate your husband''s infidelities for the sake of The Family!
I know Michelle Obama. And Michelle isn''t Jackie Kennedy! Just better! - Reply to this comment
- Wow, Michelle Obama is impressive. No script or evasive language whatsoever; just thoughtful, sincere answers.

- All I will say is that:
How can you elect a woman who can''t even spend V-day with Bill and pretend they are "together out of love", let alone pretend to be "in love" with each other!!!
A woman who tolerates her husband or significant other''s scandalous infidelities in return for personal rewards, is being "pimped" for real!
No pros in the WH!!! - Reply to this comment

- This is regarding Ms. Obama''s comment that people need to be engaged in "what''s going on in Congress every single day. What''s going on in your statehouse every single day. What''s going on at the councilman level. And Americans can''t turn on and off, just when it''s time to elect the next president."
Isn''t that why we vote for those we want to REPRESENT us? Aren''t they supposed to take on those daily tasks at the various levels of government? It''s true that people should take SOME responsibility to make sure that their elected officials know what is important to them (although this never worked with G.W. Bush). However, the thought that we should be so minutely involved in all aspects of government shows, once again, that the Obama''s don''t have a grip on reality. I want someone who is willing to work hard and knows how to get the job done, not someone who would use an "unengaged public" as an excuse as to why they failed. Another reason not to vote for Obama. - Reply to this comment

That is a little too extreme, I think...After the LIES and ARROGANCE of THE BUSH/CHENEY ADMINISTRATION as well as the RUBBER STAMP CONGRESS they controlled for 6 years, the DEMOCRATS could win with ANYBODY! To ALL of you self-absorbed, greedy, fools who put Bush/Cheney in office- You have done MORE DAMAGE TO THIS COUNTRY THAN THE 19 SAUDI 9-11 Hijackers! Proud of yourselves? - Reply to this comment

I Hillary can''t solve her own problem, don''t count on her solving any problem!
If Hillary wants to have less "Hillary-Haters", she must find out for herself what''s wrong with her. If she IGNORES THE TRUTH, she is a fool fooling herself! - Reply to this comment

- One-on-one with Katie Couric (... continued)
Katie,
Give us a break!
You have kept this trash for three days now!
It won''t fly even if you keep it until convention day.
You look like a rookie and Michelle looks and acts as a bad copy of Jackie Kennedy. After all, mingling with Teddy and Caroline wasn''t such a good idea. - Reply to this comment
