Katie Couric Talks With The Candidate's Wife About Style And Substance On The Campaign Trail
- After reading that Edwards might support Hillary, I tried to find out is this was true. No luck. However, in the process, I did discover that it was Edwards who FIRST used the word %u201Cchange%u201Din the primaries and Not Obama. Later, when Obama finally came out with %u201Chis%u201D Heath Plan, I thought it was interesting that it was so much like the one that Hillary had prepared earlier. Now today, I read the following blog. I do not know if it is true. However, iintend to check it out. If true, then it is important that the voters know that Obama is guilty of plagiarism.
"Obama''s (economic) plan. is the most shameless piece of potential plagiarism that I have ever seen. He basically took Clinton''s words and Clinton''s policies and called them his own. If I were a professor I''d give him an F and try to get him kicked out of school," said Kevin Hassett, Sen. John McCain''s economic adviser and the Director of Economic Policy Studies at the American Enterprise Institute. - Reply to this comment
- For the record, P5, Obama did not live "half of his life" as a Muslim. He lived in Jakarta for FOUR years. While there, he attended a school for 2 years that was general and did not teach religious beliefs (just like our public schools don''t) and then attended a Catholic school for 2 years. Also, some say when Obama was sworn in as senator, he used the Koran instead of the Bible...that is not true. Maybe he was confused with Keith Ellison, a congressman who DID use the Koran. I have not made up my mind who I will vote for yet, but I won''t base my decision on "urban legends" but on the candidate''s stand on issues at hand. I also need to be impressed with a candidate''s spouse as well. I am impressed with Michelle Obama.

- HMMMMMM, THE MEDIA, HAS PROTRAYED BILL CLINTON''S CAMPAIGNING FOR HIS WIFE, AS A POLITICAL NO-NO. THE MEDIA, HAS ACCUSED CLINTON''S DAUGHTER AS BEING PIMPED OUT FOR CAMPAIGNING FOR HER MOM.
NOW THE WIFE OF OBAMA, IS HAILED AS A NORMAL WIFE, JUST CAMPAIGNING FOR HER HUSBAND. SEEM''S TO ME LIKE THE MEDIA HAS CREATED A HALO EFFECT FOR HER, IN CONTRAST OF THE DEVIL EFFECT FOR THE CLINTON''S. MORE EXAMPLE HOW THE MEDIA HAS AND CONTINUES TO AIR BIAS AND OBVIOUS SUPPORT FOR THE OBAMA CAMPAIGN. - Reply to this comment
- This was copied from the CNN website .. By Roland S. Martin .. CNN Contributor
(CNN) -- NAACP Chairman Julian Bond''s decision to weigh in on the Democratic Party''s conundrum when it comes to seating delegates from Michigan and Florida has created a firestorm of discussion on blogs and talk shows, and frankly, I''m still unclear as to what his intent was.
Gee Roland, I think his intent is to see that all the people of the USA have their votes counted.. Just because your a very vocal supporter of Obama, doesn''t mean that all Black''s have to follow your lead.. Some have supported Hillary Clinton all along, and will help put her in the White House.. The DNC must seat both States, or pay to hold another Election. - Reply to this comment
- "My opponent says that he''ll take on the special interests," she said. "Well, he told people he stood up to the nuclear industry and passed a bill against them. But he actually let the nuclear industry water down his bill -- the bill never actually passed."
Clinton was referring to a 2006 bill that Obama drafted after an Illinois nuclear power plant was found to have released radiation into surrounding groundwater.
(Obama constantly takes credit for passing this bill and never mentions that Exelon, the company responsible for leaking waste, gave his campaign $220,000.00. Do we really thing that''s not a special interest or are we beyond calling him on it.) - Reply to this comment
- Frankly, I think Obama is the worst thing that could happen to the democratic party right now. It has nothing to do with his positions or his color. It''s the fact that he''s a far left candidate and has set the bar so high that he has doomed himself to failure or a percieved failure.
There is little doubt that any democrat could win the general election but there''s no way a Jimmy Carter liberal can win two terms in this country. - Reply to this comment
- Is it necessary for all the filth? I would really like to hear what each candidate will do and how exactly they plan to carry it out. I am tired of candidates making promises without saying just what they are going to do. Really just the facts.

- Obama just may surprise everyone. A year ago I dismissed him based on my belief that he didn''t have enough experience. (But heck, look at how much ''experience'' Bush had.) The fact he was black brought up electibility concerns with me. Well, he has managed to dispel a lot of my concerns the more I learn about him. No right leaning person will ever vote for him, but nearly all Democrats will rally around him once they learn more about him. He will also attract moderates and independents who are tired of Republican rule.
The last 2 elections have come down to a handful of states and this election will be no different. I think with the economy as the primary issue, Ohio will finally go blue and that will make a big difference. Obama may also amazingly bring some southern states into the blue column. One thing is for sure, this election will be very interesting and Obama may just surprise everyone. - Reply to this comment

- p5 - You are either deliberately spreading slime about Obama, or very ignorant.
He does put his hand over his heart, and golly, doesn''t wear that made-in-China lapel pin because, uh, perhaps he doesn''t take to the idea of wrapping himself in a flag and carrying a cross, like our current criminals do while they gleefully shred our Constitution and loot the Treasury. - Reply to this comment
- Wow! I''m impressed! I''ve never heard from this lady before.
They''ve got it exactly right about this "fear" business.
The current "occupant of the white house" is totally off the mark when he attempts to bang the "fear" drum. It also illuminates, in large part, who he is and where he''s coming from - as well as what motivates those who support him.... - Reply to this comment
- This was on an ABC website:Couldn''t put everything on here but check out the website: http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/story?id=4111483&page=1
If obama thought he MADE "a bone-headed mistake" then why doesn''t he sell his house???? He won''t have another debate with Clinton because he knows she will slam him. Public dont be fooled by his looks. This is our country were talking about. The one he doesn''t want to represent. You know how he doesn''t wear a flag and how he doesn''t do what Americans view as tradition putting your hand over your heart. We already have people burning our flags. Will he do that next and convince the people it doesn''t matter, as long as he wins for President. Come on people. HILLARY FOR PRESIDENT SHE HAS PRIDE IN AMERICA AND PRIDE FOR HER COUNTRY.

In sharp contrast to his tough talk about ethics reform in government, Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., approached a well-known Illinois political fixer under active federal investigation, Antoin "Tony" Rezko, for "advice" as he sought to find a way to buy a house shortly after being elected to the United States Senate.
This week, a federal judge in Chicago ordered the Rezko trial to begin Feb. 25.
Obama maintains his relationship with Rezko was
"above board and legal" but has admitted bad judgment, calling his decision to involve Rezko "a bone-headed mistake." - Reply to this comment
- Why did Couric as Michelle Obama about being on the board of Treehouse Foods, whose biggest customer is Walmart?
From the UK Telegraph: "According to the couple''s tax returns, Mrs Obama earned $51,200 (#25,700) for her work as a non-executive director on Treehouse''s board last year, on top of the $271,618 salary she was paid as a vice-president of the University of Chicago Hospitals."
Granted, the Obamas have an explanation for this:
http://www.wherethemoneygoes.com/off_message.htm
"The Harvard University Law School graduate says she''s not cashing in on anyone''s fame. "My income is pretty low compared to my peers," she says, meaning other Harvard Law grads. "You wouldn''t ask that question if, like some people in politics, we had trust funds and were rich....n the question of whether there''s any hypocrisy in his bashing of Wal-Mart while his wife draws pay from a company that does business with the retailer, he says his views on corporate reform and social justice remain the same regardless of what happens at TreeHouse. Until those views are implemented, he says, "Michelle and I have to live in the world and pay taxes and pay for our kids and save for retirement" just like anyone else." - Reply to this comment

- Katie Couric gave more respect to the wife whose running for president. Then she did in her interview with Hillary Clinton whose actually running. What is going on here? Sexist or racist. Is reverse discrimination happening to Hillary. And by the way how can I man who lived half of this life as a Muslim and not in this Country be the answers we need.

- The Obamas didn''''t put words about LBJ in Hillary''''s mouth so they didn''''t tell any lies. Please expand if you can.
You''re right, he just sicked Daddy Al and Daddy Jesse to do his dirty work for him! Can''t dirty his own hands with what he really wants done. Reminds me of Bush! - Reply to this comment

Barack Obama, D-Ill., approached a well-known Illinois political fixer under active federal investigation, Antoin "Tony" Rezko, for "advice" as he sought to find a way to buy a house shortly after being elected to the United States Senate.
The parcel included an adjacent lot which Obama told the Chicago Tribune he could not afford because "it was already a stretch to buy the house."
On the same day Obama closed on his house, Rezko''s wife bought the adjacent empty lot, meeting the condition of the seller who wanted to sell both properties at the same time.
Rezko''s behind-the-scenes connection in the Obama house deal became public as Rezko revealed personal financial details as he sought to post bail.
