I LIVE ON A FARM AND OWN TWO FARMS. IF I HAD EVER SEEN A WORKER DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS TO AN ANIMAL THAT I OWN, THINK THAT I WOULD HAVE HIT THEM WITH SOMETHING. AT ANY RATE THEY WOULD BE OFF MY CLOCK.

I for one have eaten meat all my life, but I will never use anything but a Kosher Meat soource ever again. This is hideous! Anyone who argues that it doesn''t matter how they die I pity for their lack of humaneness.

But come on! The USDA is going to do an investigation? Yea, right--just like the FDA investigates drug companies who put out unsafe drugs all the time until a few hundred people die from them and then they recall the drug and the consumer lawsuits follow.
The USDA and FDA don''t exist to protect the public (like they should). They exist to support the big corporations who do these kinds of things all the time.
This will follow a script:
Investigation to follow.
A few low level employees are fired.
Investigation turns up no corporate wrongdoing.
(Or if so, they pay a token fine and admit no wrongdoing)
And everything''s back to original in a few months.

"INHUMANE" just flat "INHUMANE" People like that are scum of the Earth and need to be in a good ole jail cell for a long time. When you can mistreat animals like that, people need to watch you like the no good trash that you are because you do that and the next thing is you mistreating some child or old person. Seeing the action in that video makes you wonder what really goes on and for how long.

I was very saddened to see this program. I quit eating pork years ago after realizing they were 5 x''s smarter than our pet dogs and I wouldn''t eat my dogs. I recently gave up consuming beef. I do believe that we are what we eat and I believe in the unseen " energy " that surrounds these poor mistreated animals. I have a difficult time wrapping my mind around a person that could carry out these acts against another living being... Has our species stooped so low as to conduct ourselves in such a dispiteous manner?? If the majority of people would give up consuming meat products and demand decent treatment for these animals only then will things change or would they??? I am doing my part by not purchasing or consuming these meat products. Why don''t you start doing the same???

The sight of cows being tortured prior to slaughter was the most cruel treatment of animal abuse I''ve ever witnessed.
As consumers of meat, we pick up a ''sterile'' package of meat which is dressed and cut according to our preferences. Their suffering has become a packaged product sealed in celophane... We simply bypass the horror of a slaughter house while we consume our meat products; be it pork, beef or other meat preferences.

We are hypocrits in denial where indifference toward meat is concerned...
The pain and torture can only be by products of a cruel system unwilling to look at slaugter ''head on'' and provide humane safe guards in order to make the business of killing as kind as possible.
It has been said that the way a society treats the vulnerable is indeed a reflection if it''s values as a whole.

One would think that sacrificing it''s life in order to feed the masses would be enough...
The incredible suffering of our animals in order to obtain thier meat is a pathetic amd dark statement about our complete lack of empathy or respect toward life too vulnerable to defend itself.

So much for meat in my diet.
