The Ten Commandments were adopted from Sumerian laws. Hebrews stole everything they claimed as their own from other cultures, including the Ten Commandments.

The Ten Commandments are irrelevant and unnecesary.

Religion has no place in public facilities, especially schools.

You sound a little bipolar to me. Can you make up your mind, are the ten commandments supporting religion or laws?

Morality is dictated by people over the age of forty five. The same people who use Viagra.

It''''s sad to say, but many have not woken up to the fact that the over-population of this planet is the root cause of so many problems we face today. And that over-population is mostly due to irresponsible (and in some cases, rewarded) procreation...

Yeah sure, calculate all the hand-outs given to other countries aroudn the world over the past twenty years, and then compare that to the amount of money people on Wall Street make in bonuses alone, and then CEO compensation. And YOU come to the conclusion that the root cause of so many problems we face today is there is not enough resources due to overpopulation and welfare. You are an odd sort of person.

Come on McVet, you know the decalogue predates Jesus by some 600 years. Are you talking about the Jews?

So, I''''m curious as to who you think teaches children or has the most influence on them?

You seem to live in some other country. You surely don''''t seem to live in the USA. In the USA, women control virtually every aspect of society (other than hard, physical labor which is exclusively male dominated).

Posted by tuckerndfw at 02:52 PM : Jan 07, 2008

Actually we may live in the same county, God forbid!

Tucker, you know as well as I do that neither your mother, nor my mother, nor grandmothers, nor did I teach my daughter to go out and be ******. Nor do teachers.

Your logic isn''t logic at all, it''s just rhetoric.

I am talking about women in the real world, not Hollywood, there is and always has been a world outside of my reality. I don''t know about yours.

I bet they laugh about this in Europe! The *** drive is a pretty compelling urge, and kids should know how to prevent pregnancy and disease. Abstinence only education is foolish and irresponsible, especially when our culture is awash in sexuality. That won''t change.

It''''s about time that States stand up and start saying no to the GOP''''s denialist blood money. Programs that recognize REALITY and foster good self-esteem sound like a more reasonable suggestion than legislated pseudo-morality or more of the same destructive vacuous "guidance".

Here''''a a clue. It takes a mother and father to raise kids, NOT the village. It is not GWB''''s responsibility to raise your kids for you.

My mother was barred from school when she was carring me. That is what they did. She was a senior in high school in 54. She married ,had me. The marriage broke up and I was put on the state at 5/6. The bible is not going to keep them from sexx.

tucker..I was born in 1954. I know the pledge I said as a school was different from that of my parents. We were not allowed a prayer in lessons as that was barred yet we said one nation under God. That was years ago. The fathers said there be not be a state church..the sep of church and state. That is We not a Christian nation and never was. We have the freedom to worship/not worship as we see fit. Yes to have God in we trust on our money is against the constution as is one nation under God. To have this on our money saids we are and that is not truthful. A class mate would not say the pledge. He just stood there at attn.

People like GW Bush and these Christian-based organizations and their mission to harm the kids today should be stopped. All FACTS make it clear that they are destroying livesPosted by redhoffer at 03:12 PM : Jan 07, 2008

If Hollywood, the schools and Government put half as much effort into battling teen pregnancies and s exually transmitted disease as they do with their No Smoking campaign, maybe we could get somewhere.

Teen mothers-to-be attending a Denver high school are asking for at least four weeks maternity leave, saying they don''t want to be penalized for absences while healing and bonding with their new babies, The Denver Post reports.

Another group to add to the list of entitlements.
Maybe the schools can start teaching parenting classes. On second thought, quite a few schools already have that program.

When will we stand up against this administration and their disdain for the youth of our country?
Abstinence Only Education fails, and leads to MORE pregnanies and HIGHER rates of STD''s including HIV.
These are FACTS.
People like GW Bush and these Christian-based organizations and their mission to harm the kids today should be stopped. All FACTS make it clear that they are destroying lives.

You can WISH that abstinence educuation works at least a little, but FACTS are that you are pushing pregnancy and HIV on the kids.

God must hate our children if He wants them to get pregnant and suffer consequences of sexually transmitted illnesses when there are proven methods out there to reduce that risk.

If you are a Nazi I guess this is true.... MOST normal people can teach their kids the difference between an ACT, a PRODUCTION and REAL life. Course to a fascist this is an excuse to use the heavy hand of the Government to do the job of a parent isn''t it? SIEG HEIL AND AMEN

"Religion" is where we got the Ten Commandments. Those 10 laws are necessary to a society to exist in a civilized manner. Sorry, but it''''''''s the truth.

Posted by mike71067

I agree, following the Ten Commandments, never hurt anyone.

Exactly WHAT in this world would the FIRST 4 of the Commandments have to do with a civilized people. Yes they DO hurt people and it''s very bigoted to say otherwise. IF you do NOT believe in Christ or are NOT Christian those first 4 most CERTAINLY DO hurt.
