The modern liberal uses the power of government to force others to do what he is too selfish or incompetent to do himself. It is not right to rob your neighbor to give his money to some program you think is needed. Liberals spend other peoples money on highly counterproductive (and stupid) socialist programs and tell we libertarians that we are selfish? Libertarianism uses freedom and productivity to fight against slavery and poverty in the most efficient way possible. You liberals need to note that Socialism failed in the largest human experiments ever conducted at the cost of tens of millions of lives and massive losses of human dignity. Stop fighting for socialism, and turn your energies to fighting against poverty by joining the libertarians. Ron Paul is a leader in this movement. I hope he stays strong and firm and continues to promote the libertarian notions upon which this country was founded and through which America achieved its success.

"the favorite of the fringe"

Yeah, for sure it''s important to stay far away from that fringe group of nutters who still believe the quaint requirements stated in plain language in the Constitution should be obeyed rather than ignored.

Fortunately, Repubs and Dems alike have a large field of traditional candidates ready and willing to maintain the opposite trend toward ever greater socialist central planning and government intervention in every aspect of daily life. What a relief to know the welfare/warfare state will grind relentlessly and wastefully ahead -- right up until the music stops.

...i will go out on a limb here and predict that mr. paul will not get the republican nomination, he will run as a third party candidate, and will not be the next president of the good ol'' USA.

and i hope you ron paul supporters go out after it is all over and retrieve your "Ron Paul Revolution" signs and place them in the appropriate trash receptacle file 13

Yeah, for sure it''s important to stay far away from that fringe group of nutters who still believe the quaint requirements stated in plain language in the Constitution should be followed rather than ignored.

Fortunately, Repubs and Dems alike have a large field of other swell candidates ready and willing to maintain the trend of caring, feeling government which has prevailed since the Roosevelt Regency.

Vote Ron Paul, or you are voting to have America fail as a nation. If you vote Ron Paul, you are finally stopping the betrayal of American ideals.

He ran on Term Limits and has been in congress for 18 years....

Spending Money in his congressional district....Cut spending he says, unless the spending helps me to get elected.

Although he was once an ardent supporter of President Reagan, Paul now speaks of him as a traitor leading the country into debt and conflicts around the world. "I want to totally disassociate myself from the Reagan Administration." And you go on to The Dallas Morning News: "Paul now calls Reagan a `dramatic failure.''"

What i am discerning from reading and listening to Mr. Paul is that he talks the talk, but doesn''t necessaily walk the walk.....

....he does make good points in some areas, however in others he is simply too loose.

Can Ron Paul win? That''s not the question for me in 2008. I''m asking myself, ''Will I vote again for the lesser of two evils? Will I again cast my vote for candidate A to keep candidate B out of office?''

The answer is NO, I will not! In 2008, if I vote in the presidential election, I will be voting for someone who I believe to be worthy of my vote. At the moment, that someone appears to be Ron Paul.
