The Top Presidential Contenders Answer Katie Couric's "Primary Questions"
- FEAR FEAR FEAR
Keep that Fear a''coming. Without FEAR you can''t LIE a nation into Needless War. Without FEAR you can''t fund the $500 BILLION annual War Machine (not counting Iraq).
A bunch of COWARDS. Cowardly Nation. How about a little bravery? How about a little LEADERHIP. How about seeking PEACE. How about Ending the Empire! - Reply to this comment
- "There lies a sleeping giant. Let her sleep. If she wakes, she will shake the world." Even Napoleon knew the greatness of China. So I have to agree with Mr. Edwards.
The middle east doesn''t seem scarey to me...Iran really talks big, and holds oil, and economic influence with it. But their rhetoric might be in response to threats from the US and Israel. In the face of what we are trying to do over there, they only have two choices. To lay down and take it, or to try to bully back.
I think the evil and terrorism comes straight from the money trail. We need to look at who benefits from the hatred and chaos. Who''s paying the terrorists? Who has financial ties to middle eastern countries. What businesses benefit from the inihilation of the middle eastern peoples. It''s NOT McDonalds!
Who is trying to convince this country to live in fear of a couple of **** ant countries over there? Who let Al Queda come into the United States and bomb 3,000 people out of two office buildings? Who knew and didn''t stop it? Or who paid them to do it? Who shuffled Osama off to Pakistan (aka a condo in Florida next to Jeb)? Who is yelling World War III, and promoting it? Who is pushing Russia into cold war? Who is shutting down all attempts of the people to get straight answers for the use of our money, hiring of no-contractors who are their business partners, who is promoting torture and incarceration without proving up evidence of it?
And you want me to be afraid of IRAN? - Reply to this comment

Huckabee. Do your research. I guess you like wide open
borders because big Mike Huckabee wants wide open borders and AMNESTY for illegal immigrants. Mike takes
big money from corporations like Tyson who LOVES cheap
labor. Don''t Believe me? DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH..... - Reply to this comment

Since the other candidates don''''t have anything to say on what they can do for America, they take the easy road and resort to taking cheap shots at Mike. Don%u2019t fall into their trap any longer with negative attacks, let''''s show the critics and the naysayers that Americans have pride and we are ready to elect an honest, humble, trustworthy man for US President. - Reply to this comment
- I am not necessarily supporting Sen. Edwards but, he was the only one to mention China as a threat. America has been sending many jobs/business''s over there and that is scary - remember - Japan in the 1940''s when America was sending all our scrap metal? I feel the little guys e.g. Iran et.al. are just nats compared to the Bigger picture i.e. China - time to wake up America. China has a BILLION in population and is VERY ambitious...............

- jesus told me he''s most afraid of the only country that ever used a nuke to kill old men, women & children and such. and send them to hell besides you know most of them were not christian evangelical zealots so now they wind up in morman heaven at best--if they get baptized for the dead, whatever that is. don''t know what country he''s talking about, but i''m glad it isn''t US.

- Where was Dennis Kucinich & Ron Paul? Geesh! If it were left up to your report, no one would know they were candidates. Some of us voters out here don''t use the biggest fund raising totals to decide who we are going to vote for, and frankly neither should a quality, national daily news report.

- Interesting.
The only thing that makes Iran scary is that they have oil and we are afraid that we won''t be able to get all the oil that we want at the price that we want.
Greed.
It is really ourselves that we need to fear.
We say we are overwhelmingly Christian in opur values.
I wonder. - Reply to this comment

- thephdofthc, she interviewed the 10 leading contenders--it had nothing to do with including Ron Paul or not. I think Katie Couric is the best and most courageous news anchor on TV. btw, I suspect you smoked your dissertation.

- It''s good to see that China is on top for at least some of the leading 10 contenders. China isn''t playing by the trade rules that we''ve agreed to follow, that shore up their economy and damage our own.
The Chinese also are dealing with the spread of Islamic extremism in some parts of their territory, and are probably also concerned about Iran and other Middle Eastern hotbeds of radicalism. - Reply to this comment

- Where is Dennis Kucinich? I''d be very interested in what he''d have to say. It would be nice if they actually interviewed all of the candidates. It angers me that the best candidate does not get the airtime and exposure.

- Edwards is the only one who didn''t buy in to the rhetoric of the Bush Politics of Fear. China is in fact the deadliest country we should fear. There are very few products on the shelves of our stores that isn''t made in China. If we didn''t buy so much from them and brought those jobs back here to manufacture things in our own country our economy would be much better and we wouldn''t have to worry about them poisoning our children and pets. At least one of the candidates showed some intelligence. Too bad he won''t make it to the primaries.

- Why does Katie Couric intentionally leave Ron Paul out of her little interview? Maybe its because she is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations?? http://www.nndb.com/org/505/000042379/
Don''t let Couric''s sweet face and persona fool you - she is a global elitist! - Reply to this comment
