Comments on: CBS News To Debut Series On The Candidates
Katie Couric Talks One-On-One With Each Leading Candidate To Pose 10 Questions That Reveal Some Unexpected Answers
- CBS should not be deciding what candidates we should vote for. It is disgraceful that CBS considers itself an unbiased news organization. Maybe your tag line should be changed to "fair and balanced."

- CBS should post their criteria for determining the "real" candidates from the um not real candidates. How is it that Ron Paul is omitted from this Real status?

- It''s obvious that Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich are being left out for a reason, the media has been doing their best to keep the public in the dark about candidates that actually can change the disaster area this country has become. The powers that be dictate the media''s direction and they''re all too spineless to report the truth so they follow like good little sheep. Objective journalism? What a joke. And yes Katie I am talking about you.

- Why are Dennis Kucinich and Ron Paul not being included in this series? Exactly what criteria was used as a justification to exclude these candidates and what gives CBS the right to make this decision for the American voters on our public airwaves? I have made a note of all the corporate sponsors of CBS news and will be contacting them to let them know how outraged I am at this attempted subjugation of the democratic process and of my intention to boycott their products until such time as it is rectified.

- Read all the comments here CBS, and ask yourself if excluding Ron Paul and Kucinich supporters from these interviews will be worth it.
These guys have real supporters, despite the fact that you have ignored them and tried to make them look goofy. Denying them airtime, and saying they are not "leading candidates" is ***, no candidates you consider "leading" have the same kind of message that Paul and Kucinich have.
Their supporters are growing all the time, and you are risking more and more backlash every time you pull a stunt like this. Keep trying these tactics and see where it gets you, because each and every one of these treasonous obstructions of democracy will be remembered, and the only way you will survive if you keep going down this road is not a way you should want to live.
Make some noise inside the company! Tell your boss that you''re tired of getting passed over for promotion because you listened to the people you''re supposed to represent! If every honest person at CBS makes some noise about this, maybe you can change things for the good of this country. - Reply to this comment
- Is CBS telling me who I should considering voting for?
I haven''t decided who to vote for yet. I don''t appreciate that you are not including all of the candidates so that I may make a better decision. This smacks of bias and is something I like to avoid when making critical decisions. I will also avoid those who support this bias - CBS sponsors. - Reply to this comment
- It is a total disgrace that there are three candidates running for president who are not corrupt and CBS does not include any of them in these interviews. Ron Paul, Mike Gravel and Dennis Kucinich are for the best interests of the people of our country. They deserve to be heard. Let the people decide, not the media!

- This is obvious proof of how Biased corporate media is. Why is Kucinich and Paul not in this debate? Paul leads all other candidates in the Polls, he clearly got the popular vote by a landslide. Why is it the major networks can''t acknowledge that? BTW CBS, this story of how you left Kucinich and Paul out of the debate is ALL over the internet on the altnet news baords where they still speak the truth to the people. This has to be hurting your ratings & sponsers. I agree with the others we should boycott every sponser on CBS, when your revenues go down maybe you''ll start being a honest and respectfull news outlet.

- Why are you not including the two candidate who are most in line with what the American public wants (according to your own polls!)?. This is such a farce. I had hoped that you were still a news agency interested in the truth. I guess being in the pockets of corporate America really puts a crimp in that whole objectivity thing.

- This is censored. Where''s RON PAUL? CBS is just as bad as all other major news network.

- Why not Ron Paul? Did you base your decision on the polls? No one has yet called me up and asked me who I''m going to vote for, but then that''s because I quit voting several years ago--they only call those who voted in the last election. I recently registered to vote just so I can vote for Ron Paul. I''m excited about it. After twenty-five years of voting, and about six years of non-voting due to my utter disgust with our so-called leaders, I finally have a opportunity to vote for a candidate I can truly support. I know you think my support of Ron Paul is not news, but the fact that there are others like me, and the fact that they are showing their support through volunteering and donations, makes Ron Paul big news and worthy to be included on your list of chosen candidates.

- I registered for one purpose only, to express my disgust with CBS. To think it''s come to this sorry state of affairs.
Ron Paul is literally like the elephant in the room that everybody pretends doesn''t exist.
It''s obvious to anybody with half a brain that Paul is electrifying the populace. It''s also painfully obvious that the powers that be are frightened of his message, no better example than this - witness CBS ignoring his existence by marginalizing him to the best of their ability, i.e., not including him in their series of interviews with ''leading'' candidates. This gives the illusion to the nonchalant, casual viewer, the one CBS is counting on, to think that candidates like Tancredo or Hunter are leading candidates while Paul (& Kucinich) are losers - best forget about them.
What a journalistic farce. I''d be ashamed to tell anybody I worked for CBS.
As of this writing, 41+ pages of comments, and virtually EVERY SINGLE ONE of them excoriating CBS for leaving out Paul and Kucinich. What does that tell you CBS?
Think they didn''t know that Paul was a ''leading'' candidate? Of course they knew that. This was deliberate. This is a stellar example of what happens when you have corporate takeover of the media - rampant information dissemination.
Thank God for the internet. - Reply to this comment
