No I raised mine and I also will say this you have just insulted every Viet Nam vet that there ever was. You are the people killer and baby killer I feel safe knowing you were not in Viet Nam and had to face those words.

There are still issues that we can unite around without beating one another over the head, if everyone would first ask what they can do to improve the situation.

I used to agree with you but that is what led to this in the first place. We were taught to work with others and listen to their opinions but the wacko right wing was not they were taught it is my way or the highway. So now they have led us to this.

While I agree that we should try to prevent it making it rare. The wacko''s on the right only care about themselves. They are in the poorest of states and need most the government help they take from us all and cry and complain. Look at the reddest states Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, they have the highest level of poverty and the lowest level of education. Then they say they are part of the Republican party no they are not and those of us who were real left and went to the Democrats because I for one have had enough of them.

So this tells me two things could be true:
1) she doesn''t believe most other people follow that amount of forgivness.
2) she plans to abuse the forgiven process 489 times for any one individual, then start to fly right...

realpatriot1 - given the realities of the situation - I think I can agree with your last position, but would still question if we don''t need to try to talk some mothers out of abortions.

I''m torn on the issue of mongoloid children being aborted this way. I have to admit, I would not do well bringing one up - I thank God (and while I strongly believe, I haven''t been to church in years - so you know I''m not fanatical about some issues) My children have been healthy at birth.

On the other hand - I know we have lots of people that are craving a healthy child to love and bring up in the world - God bless ''em.

It probably doesn''t happen often that partial birth abortion is used as a means of contraception, but I have no doubt it happens on ocassion. If I didn''t speak against it, especially against those that don''t know the crulty of it, I wouldn''t feel right. Especially if I hear the argument, "it''s a mothers body".

If that''s how they want to approach it - take out the baby AND the uterus.

If you had read Hillary Clinton"s autobiography "Living History" you would know that she is a devout Methodist Christian.

And she was one all her life, not just since she became a politician.

Her speeches make frequesnt reference to Christianity.

Abortion is a gruesome and grisley and sickening matter, whether it''s performed legally or in a back alley as it was before and will be again if the pro-life movement has its way.

The real issue isn''t whether or not it''s legal, the real fight is to establish a genuine culture of life that will make abortions rare, and , will make the ones that can''t be prevented as safe as possible. After all, a back alley is just as gruesome for the unborn and is gruesome for the mother.

Those who are truly committed to changing the culture can put their money where their mouth is so to speak by adopting, supporting adoption services both financially and through volunteerism, and by supporting *** ed and birth control programs that will limit the incidence of unwanted pregnancies among the young and stupid.

It would also be nice if conservatives and liberals could come together, as Tipper Gore tried to do 20 years ago and form a united front against the trash being presented as art in the media.
