I was watching this last night and it brought tears to my eyes because I sympathize with this man and his family. Our family is in this same situation. Not enough funds and too many expenses. Even if you go down to the bare minimum of what you need each month, it's still not enough. I probably feel the same as most in that we all should not have to worry about how we are going to pay the medical bills especially since we are both working full time. Imagine most of the elderly who have a fixed income. They have it the worst. I will definately be praying for this man and his family and everyone else out there suffering until government figures it all out.

I am fortunate enough to have health care insurance for me and my husband through my employer. I pay $1600 per year for it on my salary of $28,000 per year. But it does not cover everything (no dental, no optical) and it does not pay 100%. I believe that every American CITIZEN should have health care, but I also believe that the government must work with employers who do not currently provide insurance to their workers, to work out a system to make it available. As a member of the working middle class, I am extremely concerned that we will once again be burdened with more taxes. The health care issue is a great reason to stop the war in Iraq - quit wasting the billions of dollars for "defense," and instead fund health care for all American CITIZENS. We'd all end up with the best health care in the world if the government would stop wasting billions of dollars on the war in Iraq. C'mon people, this is a win-win situation, what's the problem?

This is the case with countless Americans--victims of the false, unfunded promises of capitalists who have been allowed to flee responsibility for their thefts through bankruptcy...allowed by a spineless, vile, indifferent citizenry, like herd creatures on the African plains, grazing mindlessly while hyenas feast on their fallen fellows.

Let's not forget these criminal bankrupt capitalists who fled their obligations...let's not forget the legal loopholes that allow them to flee...that allow bankers and their representatives on the boards to make destructive policies for their company to benefit another.

Let's not forget the lawyers guild and how well their laws protected that poor family in Connecticutt...Has an outraged citizenry risen up on its haunches to make things right?...to flail hooved forelegs in the air...sounding their war cry, "Baaaaa!....Baaaa!!....Baaaaaah!!!" demanding that mutton be removed from the Corporate State's menu?

Well, a fat cripple and his wife have had their say...they've been written off by the Corporate State...the same state that refused it permission to merge with Republic in 1983... and put it into bankruptcy twice as it failed to compete with the steel dumpers favored by said Corporate State...just as said State did nothing about the TV dumpers that Pat Choate wrote about.

Now that State wants the taxpayer to pick up the these costs...to pay for all the overpriced nostrums of the Sickness Industry.
