It doesn't matter how much you try to explain it to these people they are in total denial of the facts. The fact is these guys are racists bound and determined to shoot down whatever bill congress attempts to pass that allows a path to citizenship for the undocumented immigrant. First off, because we oppose a clean slate and amnesty we are now racists, listen blow-hole, They are ILLEGAL, not undocumented, they have plenty of documentation. Stolen, forged, fake...etc. They are ILLEGAL ALIENS. They do not need to be rewarded for their crime(s), they need to be punished.

The man that I was speaking to got up and when to a box that he kept on top of his refrigerator and showed his pay stub where he pointed to a little line that said what was deducted from his PAY CHECK (as a vineyard worker) as taxes. And as if that was it, he then showed me his income tax form for the past year with the amount that he had to pay and a receipt along with it. ILLEGALS DO PAY TAXES and because they do PAY TAXES, I don't see why they can't stay.

So, something was taken out of his check, big whoop. If he was not here ILLEGALLY, he wouldn't have that home, those receipts and maybe not even the box. They can't stay because they are illegal, and no they can't be made legal as that is rewarding them for their illegal act(s).

If they put down enough dependents on their W4, then no fed income tax gets held out of their check. So if the SS# is stolen, who pays the fed tax?

And another thing for those of you who think that illegals don't pay taxes, it just isn't true, no matter how many times you say it, it doesn't make it true. We all pay taxes, income, federal, state, FICA, SALES tax on groceries, tax on gas, city taxes, etc. I just don't want to hear the lame argument that illegals don't pay taxes.

They pay taxes on purchases, yes, that is state, city...etc. However even if you use a SS#, you can claim multiple deductions, and nothing gets held out of your check. Then you get hit with it in April. I know this because it has happened to me. If you put down 4+ dependents on your W4, then no federal income tax gets held out.

I know several kids that fall into this category that the dream act could help. All I think that they should do is the kind thing. Do what you would do for your own children. Think about it.

It is sad that the wrongs of the parent are reflected on the children, however, who is going to pay for their education? How about those who can't afford to pay for their own kids to go to college, but their taxes will help the illegal kids get a college education? Is that fair to our own kids? No!!! I will do what I can for my own child, the illegals, no I will not willingly help them.

lostcountry1, by "preserve the culture of your own country" do you mean make sure that there are more white people than colored people? Is this not a nation of immigrants of different cultures? Or do you want this to be simply a nation of white immigrants of European culture?

I am tired of people sayings, "these illegals want to get educated at the expense of my tax dollars." Pull your hears out of where the sun does not shine and realize that everyone pays taxes. Now I don't believe that this makes them eligible to become citizens but they do pay taxes and feed to social security without any benefit. Now should they have the benifits no, but PLEASE realize that they are helping pay taxes and that they make up for them selves. As for the people that get payed under the table (as in cash), last year here in California, farmers lost millions of dollars worth of fruit. Were they happy? No. Did the price of fruits and groceries go up? Yes. If these people that wanted to apply to come and work here, how long do you think that they would have to wait. Actually there is no application that you can fill to come into the U.S. and pick grapes or strawberries, and more, in order to be considered you have to have a good amount of money and a good amount of property in your country of origin. The percent of people that pick the fruit in California that have a legal status in the U.S. I can say with great confidence that it is around 1%. What I am trying to say is that they pose no threat to you unless you are a conservative white American that wants to preserve the white race and culture and don't want any educated colored people.

Whether you like it or not they help are the ones picking the fruits and vegetables of your groceries. If you want to deport them, please wait until the harvest season and do it then. You will get millions and millions, I promise. Plus, then "White American Citizens" that are unemployed can then take those jobs and unemployment will drop like nothing you have ever seen.

I have heard that our reps put a point value on communications from the public with a mailed letter writing having the highest score. However, I think a phone call is really our best bet because I am still receiving responses from Washington for e-mails that I sent before the bill was pot down. Granted, that wasn't a mailed letter but I'd think e-mai would be easier to read than letters so probably mailed letters from that time are still being opened and read now. At least on the phone, you know they heard you. Whether they listen on not is another matter.

There are a lot of people who think those of us who demand these illegal aliens be returned to their homeland and apply properly are mere racists. This is not true. What we are tired of is these illegal aliens coming into our country and taking over. Now they want us to allow them to stay here, pay for their college education, make them citizens and allow them to even further take over America. I, for one, am not a racist. I am a realist. I realize these people are trying to make a better life for themselves. But- How is entering into another country illegally, working for less pay than they would earn if legal and having to constantly hide and worry about being deported making a better life? When someone enters America legally they are a welcome addition to society, when their first act is to break the laws of our country by entering illegally I have trouble believing they are here to better themselves. What I believe, what I see is a group of individuals who seek only to take over our country by whatever means presents itself. I have seen the reports of illegals involved with drugs, prostitution, murder and other crimes they have perpetrated. They have brought additional gang-related crime (which we already had plenty of) into our country. These are some of the issues America has with illegals. Race is NOT an issue, being here Illegaly and adding to the crime rate IS. Breaking our laws to get here IS. Asking for FREE college tuition IS.
