- Another "poor" misunderstood community member who will have his pals sticking to him like lockjaw. I really, really want to move back to my homeland.

- I would like to know what other associates (specifically professional athletes) have participated in this sickness. What kind of morons get off on watching two animals kill themselves. Obviously, them must not regard life as important. Maybe they to are not worth anything.

- The lowest form of humanity participates and promotes this stuff.
Anyone who does this should be sterilized and their offspring steralized so that their pathetic genes do not reproduce.
Even better, just euthanize them and cure the problem.
GD scum of the earth, useless pieces of ***. - Reply to this comment
- I am very sad.
Grown adults, yet again, abusing their position in an already gluttonous and violent existence. I am not just talking about Michael Vick and his barbaric animal-abusing underlings.
The moment Roger Goodell and other top NFL officials and stakeholders made the decision to allow Michael Vick to continue to play, they let the world down and reinforced the heightened masculinzation and violence of professional sports.
Perhaps my discontent ultimately stems from the tensililty of due process...
I find it so sad and disheartening that professional athletes such as Michael Vick, who as far as I can tell have done nothing to make the world more livable, can still perform in the public eye. A continual public glorification...
I am glad that Arthur Blank of the Falcons is %u201Cdistressed%u201D by the indictment. He should be.
Wouldn%u2019t it be striking if a sense of ethics was a prerequisite to making millions of dollars, igniting a %u201Cfan base,%u201D and calling oneself a role model? But if it were, where would the profit come from? - Reply to this comment
- Send them all to the Middle East to live with the true Barbarians. Let them all rot in hell.

-Thanks Randy, just look at the comment postig time. Repetitive ones have similar posting times. I think that could be due to some glitches within the CBSNews server. A new blogger may get confused after logging in and postig without pushing the refresh icon on top of explorer page, in order to check the acceptance of his (her) posting and its publication. - Reply to this comment
- Every single time I hear the name Michael Vick, I am going to have a mental picture of him and his "buddies" standing around watching a dog hang to death, or watching a torn up losing female dog being electrocuted. There is no way he wasn't involved, and for the NFL to sit on the fence for even one single more day about suspending him w/o pay, until this is resolved, is despicable.
There is now going to be an even worse epidemic of dog fighting thanks to Michael Sick. His famous name is now going to be linked by his young fans to "dog fighting is cool and and easy money". Another horrible role model. If Rev. Al Sharpton and Russell Simmons think what he did is disgraceful, then that should be good enough for Goodall to suspend him. He is a horrible role model for the rest of his life, and should be banished. - Reply to this comment
- The owners of such dogs and making them fight should be dearly fined and/or jailed. It's pathetic, disgusting, heartbreaking.

Couldn't agree more GG. I think it's also a symptom of a mental illness or defect. Only a true sociopath could find enjoyment in the harming of innocent dogs like this. People like this are born without a part of the brain. The part that controls compassion, love and caring. they are devoid of the better human emotions.
Of course there are other forms of mental illness that causes a person to relentlessly post the same message over and over again in a hope of gaining attention to their pathetic self's. It appears there's one in this thread today. - Reply to this comment
- I live in a county in SC that has had such a problem with dog fighting that the former animal control commissioner got a 5 yr. sentance for owning fighting dogs, and for about 2 years, any breed that could be used for fighting was not safe in this county, even normal "family" dogs like Golden Retreivers. Our animal shelter will not take puppies anymore, because fighters from 3 counties use the tiny pups for "training bait",so we had to raise a litter of pups when one of my dogs accidently got pregnant, and had to find homes for them ourselves. People couldn't leave their dogs in their yards, because they would be stolen in broad daylight, and I was offered a large amount of cash for a dog I used to have that was a chow mix. I did not sell my dog to the person that offered me money, because I knew who he was and what he did. I've had dogs for most of my life, and I just can not comprehend HOW anyone can enjoy such a horrid activity, and I think that anyone that is caught engaging in such absolutely unbridled and inhuman cruelty should be given the maximum sentance possible for this awful behavior. The owners are more animalistic than the dogs are,and they do not deserve to go free for the suffering and pain they cause.

- In my opinion; this world needs a reality check. People who think that it is right to fight a dog, need to be handcuffed to a tree and beaten, and let them feel how it is. I am a proud owner of 2 pits and neither one of mine are harmful. they are the most lovable dogs. they are great around mychild and my niece and nephew. Everytime i hear about these dog fights i cry and it seriously make it sick to my stomach. No dog should deserve to be put through this. And as far as Michael Vick's concerned, he deserves to get the same punishment as any other average everyday person. He's not any special than anyone else. He's being a teriible role model for the younger generation and deserves the right punishment. and anyone that stands behind him for what he has done, is just as wrong. I dont care if they didn't do it, but they are just as wrong for thinking that it's ok. They are sick people and its a shame that there are people like that in this world. Dogs are part of God's creation and deserve to be treated with respect.
