Lundberg Survey: National Average Price For A Gallon Of Regular Is $3.18
- Gas prices constitute HIGHWAY robbery. The price of crude oil is NOT at an all time high and I am sure the demand is substantially lower at $3.XX than it was at $1.79 last year! Who's kidding who, folks?

- After watching the movie National Treasure, there is a line by Nic Cage reading an excert from the Decleration of Independence, which basicly says ....If there is a known injustice happening, it is the responsibility and duty of the duely elected to correct the injustice.
It seems that our elected have chosen to turn a blind eye to fairness and justice in favor big oil
and are clueless as to the severity of economic impact to the average citizen . - Reply to this comment

- lets cover the facts:
No new Nuclear plants since the 1970's
No new refineries since the 1970's
No new oil fields since the 1970's
Gee........I wonder why we are running out of energy.
The fact is the Democrat party along with their rich liberal conervationist donors have BLOCKED all of these three issues stated above throught legislative action or by throwing years of "environmental impact" statements under the wheels of "energy companies".
The Democrat Party IS THE REASON why America does no have enough energy today.
So if Americans don't like these high prices........ please thank your nearest Democrat..........and meanwhile our corrupt liberal MSM wolfpack "covers up" the REAL reasons why.............. really sad but completely true. - Reply to this comment

- All the reasons given (to us) to justify high gas prices, like limited refinery capacity, attacks on Nigerian pipelines, lightning striking a refinery, the high cost of crude, the need for more expensive extraction methods, oil futures speculators, etc. are just excuses to rip off the American public in the biggest public robbery of all time.
It's simple math. If oil companies raised prices to match their increased costs, they would make the same profit as before. In order to make quarter after quarter of record profits, they have to be rasising prices way beyond their increased costs.
So why isn't our government doing anything about it? Sadly, there are so many reasons, and they are all believable - from total ineptitude at most levels of govenrment, to campaign donations (read: bribes) to look the other way, to payback for the oil money that installed the current administration. - Reply to this comment
- Buy less, use less, you won't see the prices go up. By the way, here in Ireland an equivalent gallon costs $6.06 - sorry can't feel your pain.
