LoveUSA2:

The problem most ANTIs have is they cannot distinguish a Hispanic citizen vs illegal immigrant by looking at them. Consequently, what they do is look at a Hispanic person and automatically think "illegal immigrant."
Since I have friends who are naturalized citizens, maybe you should take your argument up with them...
I have found the best way to determine the difference between legal and illegal is using the word INS...
They are undercutting our wages. I think you need to look at other areas other than where you are.
Because they are taking jobs at minimum wage, they are undercutting wages of occupations that take expertise such as the trades... They are replacing tradesmen because the business owners know they can get away with hiring illegals. Plus they DO NOT pay taxes. I have spoken with business owners about this. They either file exempt or take the maximum amount of deductions...
Then they are using social services that the working poor here cannot even hope to use, just because they show an income and pay into the "system"... We should be taking care of our own people first.

It took 20 years for the number to become 11M. Who profited. Follow the money!!

Well that is a fact that can't be argued. I say we fine businesses $20K per illegal worker. That will stop all this immediately.

the word %u201Cillegal%u201D is loaded. It is true that people who cross the border without permission from the United States have violated the law. But entering the country without documents is a civil violation. It%u2019s neither a felony nor a misdemeanor, as is, say, driving without insurance documents. If an illegal entrant is taken to immigration court, the punishment, if so adjudged, is called %u201Cremoval.%u201D Usually the entrants are allowed to leave voluntarily, avoiding formal deportation. That%u2019s important because re-entry after voluntary departure remains a civil violation, but after formal deportation becomes a felony.%u201D Obviously, there should be no such thing as voluntary deportation. All so adjudged should be formally deported at their own expense. The next time they show up they will be felons and treated accordingly. This is another major flaw in our immigration proceedings.

Ah, so the clowns from the evil ANTI sites join the dialogue. The KKK, the militia, the MMs.

Read the History of Immigration. The 1st Immigration laws began with the Chinese Labor Act.

Study dear xenophobe. Study. They come because they are hired by businesses. It took 20 years for the number to become 11M. Who profited. Follow the money!!

Google this headline "US decides 312,000 immigrants can stay for now". Consider what is happening in Central America.
There are so many reasons the 11M are coming here.
Google New Bedford immigration. Consider the sweeps and how the Employer was not jailed and he was the one who solicited illegal immigrants from Guatemala, a war torn country. Do you really think those illegals can return to Guatemala? Even if they did, how would you feel if the mercenaries there murdered them and their children? They were invited and brought here and now whole families were swept to private prisons in TX. These private prisons were quickly built last year by the RNCs cronies. They make $90 a day for each prisoner.
Study the facts. Understand the issues. Then I challenge you to question yourself why you are questioning the need for Comprehensive Immigraiton Reform. Don4t listen to the xenophobes. Study the FACTS for yourself!!

The vast majority of the 11M are going to the Southeast, NO, and other places with high rates of employment opportunity.

Here is a map of US citizens by ethnicity. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maps_of_American_ancestries

We have 40M Hispanic citizens in this great country of ours and a high rate of Hispanic citizens populate the Southwest, Miami, NY, Chicago and LA area.

The problem most ANTIs have is they cannot distinguish a Hispanic citizen vs illegal immigrant by looking at them. Consequently, what they do is look at a Hispanic person and automatically think "illegal immigrant." This is wrong on so many levels. You have to stop the xenophobia. Try to understand the issues. We have labor shortages in this country. The 11M were brought in by business and HIRED to work.

Don4t believe the rhetoric and xenophobic comments by the ANTI sites. The anti immigration groups are thriving right now and they are playing this issue and hoping the fear they are creating will result in increased membership for their causes. The KKK, Stormfront, militias, MMs and other ANTI groups are just as scary as the Terrorists. Remember McVeigh and OKC.

Miami is full of Citizens. LA is full of Citizens. TX is full of Citizens. We have 40M Hispanic Citizens in our great USA. We are a melting pot. We are evolving. We are multicultural. We are diverse.

If all those places are FULL, how/why are more and more going to those places?

If these illegals couldn't change their own homeland, WHY SHOULD WE ALLOW THEM TO CHANGE OURS?

MULTICULTURAL?? If these illegals are fleeing their culture and their way of life, WHY WOULD WE WANT TO EXPAND TO THEIR CULTURE?

The truth is, you do not want Hispanics to number 40M.Posted by LoveUSA2 at 04:17 PM : May 13, 2007

We don't NEED 40 million new immigrants of ANY nationality. I'd be saying the same thing about any ethnicity. We could have 40 million Africans (my favorite immigrants BTW) and it would be worrisome if they would be able to assimilate and have allegiance to USA.

Sometimes I find it amusing when the people that support the lawlessness try and change the subject from the illegal invasion or illegal aliens and try and interject a new topic like, "Immigration".

We are not the ones stinking up honest immigration! It is the people that support the illegal activity that have set back honest immigration. Possibly for centuries.

They seem to me some pretty hollow spokesmen for any sort of immigration~!

You are probably sitting in your McMansion, on your laptop, spewing your blather. You hate Hispanics. Admit it and free yourself!!

The truth is, the only place middle income is impacted on wages is by outsourcing and you know it!!

Dilluting wages is the BIGGEST MYTH of all. You ANTIs don4t have a clue. All of the jobs the 11M take are at a minimum, paid minimum wage.

The jobs middle Americans want are the IT jobs. These are the jobs outsourced to other countries. Please study Ms. Bella. You ANTIs do NOT have a good argument. Get past your xenophobia and see the truth. You are racist and you don4t want Hispanics around unless they are your indentured servants!!

You're misguided loveusa. The elitists want to keep the slave labor, the wage earners are sick of seeing their wages diluted, and the patriots can't stand to see the country sold out by sleeze bag politicians and capitalist pigs.
