The FDA is allowing uninspected food additives and food ingredients into the US from China India and other third world countries. It is only a matter of time before what happened to pet food happens to people food.

We need to demand that the SCOURCE of ingredients be put on packaging. Those of us wanting to "buy local" have no way of knowing where any of this stuff comes from.

The FDA is not the food police, just like the local police's job is not to prevent crime. Both organizations are present to enforce laws by in their respective jurisdictions and are considered reactive rather that proactive in that they process an occurring criminal act. If you want protection hire a body guard or a personal food taster.
