Why do the feds have to rule on any of this? Isn't this why we have state laws? Now I've been sidetracked. how long will we continue to tolerate the bs we get from washington. the 90% of americans who work hard each day and try to get by are simply not members of "the country club". the only time it matters what we think is at election time. are we still a democracy? if our federal prosecuters and judges have to worry about what the political parties want how can they do the jobs they're supposed to do and see that justice is served for the american people?

Typical of the Bush administration to fire A+ rated employees and replace them with Rove cronies. How do you thik we got a horse show marketing executive as head of FEMA? Bush has always valued loyalty to the Republican party over competency. Read Emerald City about how people were chosen for Iraq reconstruction jobs on the basis of party loyalty over experience. How long did it take to get a competent Defense Secretary? Why did it take so long to get guys like Petraus and Gates in charge? Bush has no concept how to chose competent Generals, Cabinet members or Prosecuters.
