It is not only Christians or even any kind of religious people who are kind, helpful or gracious to other people. I am an atheist, yet I am kind to my friends, neighbors, family and I even love dogs. It's possibile to be a completely wonderful person and not believe in God at all. I don't push atheism on others or tell them they have to stop believing in whatever they want to believe in to make themselves happy, though according to their faith Christians feel it's their mission to preach to me. Man created God in his own image and likeness, so everyone so everyone creates one that they understand and that they think understands them. That's fine with me as many people need a crutch to get through life and if religion is the one these students need then more power to them.

In this world of video games, substance abuse, racial tension, global conflict, and name calling I'm was pleased by this story. It is unfortunate that some would critcize the change in college student behavior as 'religious indoctrination'. While the world we live in can offer a LOT of STUFF it cannot offer me any lasting peace or salvation. These college students are looking for something that is eternal and God filled. No matter what happens in/to my life, I have the peace and assurance of an eternal future. Many of these college students have found that same peace and assurance. Can any of you reading this story say that? If you don't like what you read other people doing/believing at the very least respect the person. If you have ever been kind, helpful, or gracious to anyone, at anytime, be careful. Because if you have, you may be practicing what you've been condemning -Matthew 7:12, "Treat everyone in the same way, you want to be treated."

God save us from religious indoctrination. Still, whatever gets you though the night. For a lot of these kids it's really their first time away from home and if they need a religious crutch then I guess it's better then drinking, though only slightly.

Wow! That's going to be one boring college experience - much like students of the Taliban experience (with a different religion of course).

In the 60's all the Hippys were liberal and turned "Christian" in the 90's - Maybe all of these deprived "Christians" will become enlightened and Liberal in the 2030's :-).

College is for learning not for regurgitating Dogma...

Oh Please. College kids have been on a "spiritual quest" since the beginning of time -or at least since the beginning of colleges. Anyone who believes this marks some kind of psychic shift in the college population is just looking for a story where none exists. Let's talk again in a year and do a keg count. Bet it's up.
