Another aspect of this desired drugging is ismply the compliants of foster parents as to being not in control with the kids..Counties and states then seek a"consulting"(paid via retainer) couch trip or eval center that offers services for the best price....The county then can seek additional Tile IV-D Medicare funding for these labeled kids....The eval centers/quacks,in an effort to demonstrate their god-like powers over the children them knowingly push the favored poison of the week(what ever the drug reps are pushing that week along with a little on the side)And to add insult to injury, the quack can then unknowingly to the patient, make out a product survey report, submit it to the drug company and be rewarded again financially....More incentive for drug use instead of therapy,or that time wasting method of discovering what is the root of the childs problem....And since noting "any" of the advrse effects of any med will show poorly upon the report, and the quack...they will arrogantly dismiss such displays and simply label the child with further problems...ie. CD,ODD,ADD,ADHD,Bi-Polar...Eventually the child will become scitzophrenic from the chemical abuse...No different than the meth haed on the street or the drunk in the bar.....Chemical imbalance occurs with the first administration of the damned drugs.....

daden2 do you or have you ever had children in foster care or are you a foster parent? If your answer is no to these questions then who are you to determin what is going on in the system because you really do not know till you either are there or have had a family member go through it. I know from personal experience that they do over drug the children in foster care and the children also could get more abuse there becuase of the amount of children they have to deal with then a regular family. I was raised in the system and now so are my children and I know that what is being done with the kids is not right or fair to them we are all human and some of us out there are not as bad as what the system wants people to think we are or what they want us to think we are. I hope that we can get someone into office that can do something possitive to the system. We get so many of them running saying they are for our children well where were they when they child protective services took his cousin out of his home placed him into a foster home to where he died of dehydration in their care? Can you tell me this?

I hope the administration recruits Carol Strayhorn to oversee a national investigation - one that will ensure that every state is subjected to the same type of investigation that she has been conducting in Texas.

I know for a fact that similar problems exist in Utah. I can attest to the fact that my deceased half-brother's son was taken into foster care after his surrogate father was abusive towards him. It should have been the father that was removed from the home, not the child.... Anyway, my nephew has been subjected to the same kind of abuse as Colby Holcomb. He was put on several psychiatric drugs, including anti-psychotics, and depending on which "specialist" was seeing him at any given time, and depending on the day, he received one or another psychiatric diagnoses - from "ADHD" to "bi-polar".. you name it. Furthermore, he was mentally, physicallny and sexually abused WHILE IN FOSTER CARE! I have documentation of ALL of this - and yet, he is still in the state's care, now under some other "special" program. Before they're done with him, they will have created a true monster. I can still see him in my mind's eye as an adorable blonde, blue-eyed inquisitive 4 year old.... He went into the system at age 8 and he's still there.... Get someone out here in Utah, please. And, Ms Strayhorn - you are in my book of modern day heros!

Now why did Mrs. Strayhorn and CBS fail to mention Bush's TMAPS, which has been reported to be a profit sharing agreement that was originated in Texas, and picked up by other states, as G.W. was governor of Texas. Is the threat of losing advertising dollar and pharma contributions too threatening? And why were the failed over-sight agencies not exposed? The GOA report after Grassley's investigation, clearly shows corruption as the industries have infiltrated every level of gov. What about the fact that Bush Sr. (along with Ken Lay) served on the board of directors of Eli Lilley manufacturer of Zyprexia, the most expensive, most harmful, and most prescribed drug. The same abuse happens in Texas nursing homes and DHS allows it.

I have also read through and found a few concerned Texans that get a tad bent that CBS did not disclose that Strayhorn is running for office....Uh yeah so what...? Elections are going on all over the country,it's that time of year again...Duh !!!!
It's nice to see a really concerned politician, and for the record a google or dogpile search on Strayhorn will show she simply did not recently decide to use this tactic for office...She has been on top of this for YEARS!!!
Seems like some from Texas should be more concerned with those running for office that do not care about kids....No more Kids,No more Future..

For those interested there is a post here from one of the higher ups in a site called mind freedom,Sadly the belief that the effects of long term drug use(profitable prescription that is)Being of only a recent discovery is in correct. Many have known for decades what can happen....Any one care to guess why Meth was first used for...? To induce psychosis in normal people so that the shrinks could attempt to study schizophrenia...and that is where they started off with the use of words such as "A group of psychotic disorders"....Hmm no new thing under the sun, just repackaged and re-released to the public... Check out these websites also for more scientific proof not more psycho-bable theory.

We can validate your concerns about the overuse of drugs. We have been taking trouble teenage boys for 20 years. Most have been kicked out of group homes and residential programs. Most have horrible drug cocktails and clumsily walk about in a stupor. They cannot learn new behavior or anything else in this condition. Bipolar is the diagnosis most favored and most wrong these days. We'd rather have the behaviors than the effects of these drugs.

So you are ADHD Metal_Head2...??? Who told you this...? A pill pushing shrink...? Or was it the clever television advertising that takes every day situations of life, then adds some BS about chemical imbalances, and there you have it...One finds themselves saying to themselves..."Hey thats me".....I need those drugs....By the way what do you take..? Meth..err I mean Ritilan..?
Ever see those cute little tinker toy molecular models of Meth and Ritilan side by side...?
Ever dig into what "other" things were discovered during the rat and mice trials that do not make it on the warning labels....? If your medication is marked as an adverse side effect"Emotional Lablity" Do you realize that is shrink code for SUICIDE...? How about chemical induced tumors of the lungs,or under the skin..Doctors(real ones that is) call them TUMORS,likened to cancer...You know abnormal cell growth....????? Do some research while your brain still functions...Use a dictionary if you don't understand the meaning of a word....Please.

My own son as a 3 year old wrongfully taken by the state of Florida was put on 15 different psychotropic drugs in 3 years. This resulted in Grand Mal Seizures, brain damage, loss of fine motor skills, and the child displayed the symptoms of overdose toxicity. These drugs if even considered "safe" or "necessary" were not administered properly. The child in the home of his paternal grandmother was a victim of her lies so that she could keep him drugged and not chase after a normal healthy boy child. She had threatened to harm my child with these drugs when he was an infant. The State of Florida assisted her in her deliberate harm of my son. I guess they got some government money from the NIH and NIMH for it as well as some pharmaceutical "Kickbacks".

This story pisses me off to no end.

It is not, and should not, be considered a criticism of the vast number of great people who volunteer their homes to provide foster care to kids who don't have their own -- those people represent the best of what is American.

The responsibility and the blame for this lies squarely and only on the shoulders of the shrinks involved and the drug companies that pay their way.

THOSE are the guys who should be jailed or, worse, put on a cocktail of their 20 mind crippling drugs.

When the hell are we going to stop ***-footing around and start prosecuting the shrinks and drug companies causing this kind of thing as the child-abusing, money grubbing psychopathic criminals they are.
