NPR Journalist Says Family Breakdown Is A Scandal Of Modern Life
- Mr. Williams words are "right on the money", I feel that our young black talented men, those in the "hip-hop" culture has sold out to the almighty dollar. For a new "caddy" and some "bling, bling" these young men are "imprinting" on the minds of our young men and women; by telling our youth that it's ok to think "being ghetto" is cool. It's time we stand up and say it! We need to move on as a people and not go backward. Thanks for saying what alot of us feel.

- I would like to applaud and thank Juan Williams for opening up for discussion the travesty that is happening to our youth in the decline of self respect and morality.
It is a real shame to know that some whom have clout in the political realm and that could have an impact on prohibiting this problem to continue deny responsibility. - Reply to this comment
- Amen. We need more people like him. There should be a mechanism to prevent out of marriage births. Abstinance is not a realistic answer. There should be a more counseling/education with marriage license and a permit to have children.

- Mr. Williams,
Why do you think Katie Couric appears to brace herself before every Free Speech segment as if CBS was about to endorse child molesting? Is everyone in NYC totally out of step with the rest of the country?
Everyone I know, here in "fly over country", agrees with everything you said, and thanks for saying it. - Reply to this comment
- Juan, I rarely agree with your positions, but I applaud your recognition that not all problems of black people are caused by white people.

- Congratulations Mr. Rohrbough! You hit the nail on the head. Unfortunately some people still fail to responsibility for their own actions. I guess a gun is to blame for the shooting--not the person shooting the gun! They apparently can shoot themselves. This country was created with God at it's center. We have pushed Him further and further to the side and are paying the price. It's time people in this country wake up and smell the coffee. You don't have to be a religious "fanatic" to believe in God and his mercy. October 8 in the World Day of Prayer for peace. Let's get together and pray.
