You obviously don't get it do you. The President of the United States is the leader of the pack of "those who would restrict my freedoms and yours".

This new pro-torture law allows the the administration to detain indefinitely without any judicial review ANYONE they label as a potential threat including US citizens.

You & I no longer HAVE our rights and freedoms.

Your condescending and misogynist responses again demonstrate that you have NOTHING more to offer than name calling and disrespect.

George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin, Alexander Hamilton, John Hancock, and the rest of the founding fathers are probably rollin' in their graves with current conditions in this country right now due to that we have a corrupt legislature and executive branchs operating this country. George and the others would more than likely say it's time for revolution.

Apparently 'stopneofatbs' never read the CBS Forum Terms of Engagement that he accepted when he joined this forum.

CBS says: "We expect heated, robust debate, but comments should be polite and civil."

Of course CBS fails to enforce it's rules unless they get a direct complaint.

The growing level of intolerance in this country is appalling. When The White House defines anyone who voices a dissenting opinion on Iraq as a traitor and agrees that torture is acceptable they fuel this behavior.

We are spending hundreds of billion to supposedly "spread democracy to the rest of the world", but allow our own democratic rights to be destroyed.

I love contentious races and the more negative the better. These make for great entertainment. The Iraq war isnt that bad. Weve lost what 2500 soldiers now in three and a half years? Thats pretty good as far as wars go. Wake me up when we hit 60,000. As for Murtha what did he do? Bad mouth Bush. Big deal! What I don't like about Murtha is he is in a position to make a differance and he hasn't. All he wants to do is tow the liberal line, Instead of trying to solve problems. Democrats are trying to tear Bush down and if they have to destroy the country or have a few solders killed to do it fine. Frankly I won't support a party thats does these things. I'll probably vote Republican down the line. Because I'm sick and tired of the Bush bashing. What purpose does it serve to call Bush an idiot. All it does is tell me this guy is to stupid to come up with an inteligent argument and has to resort to name calling.

Stopneofatbs at is like every other "Rabid Republican" I have come across! He seems to have the misguided notion that calling people's attentions to Democrat's failings somehow going to make the crime's of this administration more palatable! Well, I hate to be the one to tell him it isn't! We all know a fascist when we see him and it isn't Democrat's! It's good old George! He doesn't have a clue what Democracy is so how can he possibly spead it in the middle east? They like to blame Clinton for all their policy failings! Most of them have become brainwashed with all the "right wing propaganda" they have listened to over the years they have lost their ability to reason like a normal human being! They sort of rant on and on! Not saying a whole lot in the end!

The Swift Boat Veterans for Truth would try to prove Colin Powell and John F. Kennedy were traitors and cowards if they had come out against the war.

The are so maniacal in their beliefs that pretty much anyone who doesn't support the war, no matter the cost, no matter how failed it might be, is not really an American. They subscribe to the belief that the only real Americans are Republicans that support George W. Bush. They are, in fact, a political arm of the Bush administration designed to personally attack anyone who goes against them.

It is such a shame to think that men and women can go to fight for their country, return and give more service to their country by being politically active, only to be called traitors if they voice an opinion contrary to the hegemonic. They make me ill with their politically directed character assassination. How can veterans then believe they fight for freedom when they are not accorded that freedom as citizens? "Dissent is the highest form of patriotism," Thomas Jefferson

So here we go again, maybe we should start swifiting the swifters, let's see we have corruption, *** scandles, Halliburton, IRAQ, AFGHANISTAN, the budget deficit, the Schievo debacle, Abranoff, and Cunningham, surly there must be something we can think of to let people know exactly just how these so called PATRIOTIC AMERICANS have lived their lives! They are the lowest form of scum and this administration invented them. They should be proud, all the while saying support our troops, so let's see how many amputees from IRAQ and AFGHANISTAN do you think they can slime, all the while riding around in their big SUV'S with their "support our troops" bumper sticker on it and their little American flags flying off the antenna! Doesn't it just make you a proud american to know that these folks are out there sliming members of the service and calling the ones who serve but are Democrats cut and runners??? Maybe we can find a U.N. investigative unit to come in and oversee our election to make sure it's ethical, just like we do with the third world countries, which this administration is hell bent on making us anyway. I think we should make Ney, Cunningham and Foley the keynote speakers at the Republicans next convention, with a big picture of Abranoff in the background smoking big cigars and holding wads of cash with his arm around Bush and Rove! Good luck to us Americans left that didn't drink the kool-aid. Thanks Grannysue
