I am a Republican looking for the right candidate. I don't care what color he or she is. Does Mr. Cain have family values, is he married with children or what? Nothing I have read addresses this issue. It is important to show one has the backbone of commitment and is able to manage relationships. What about social issues? Since we all live in this world together it is important for our president to give a damm about society as a whole. What about sensitivities to the real world citizens? Is everyone who is not working for whatever reason a worthless soul who should be out cleaning horse stalls in their wheelchair? It sounds from some of the articles I've read that this might be the heartless corporate kissing mentality.
It seems from what I have been reading that Mr. Cain is more of the same mortgage banker-banker buddy type mentality. All business, dollars and screw everyone who gets in the way. We Republicans need a candidate who is well rounded, professional, social value oriented who will be flexible with other opinions. We are sick of Republican fat cats with corporate business in their pocket. We need oversight of corporations and banking as without it the glutenous hogs of business will screw the citizens. Look at the mess we are in because we let the bankers have their way and no one to protect the citizens from the brood. Yes, here we are with our children and grandchildren paying to bail out the ****** of industry and investment banking. We are real, real sick of the picture.

No longer be ignored? He's hardly been ignored -- he's been all over the news every day for weeks. And the more that comes out about Pizza Man, the more he looks like a complete moron. He has no chance. All of the money is going to Romney. Romney is Wall Street's guy. He'll finish the job of destroying the middle class once and for all.

I remember a guy like Cain in our first year of graduate school. He could give a very friendly, audience-sensing presentation, and was soothing and wonderful to listen to. Turns out he had taken the Dale Carnegie course FIVE TIMES (paid for by his wife who sorely wanted her family to finally like the guy). It also turned out that his letters of recommendation were based on the post-Carnegie persona; he flunked out by the end of the first semester. Nothing upstairs but a hairpiece and stylized manner. Huh.

If the Republicans want to win, they better knock it off with the social issues and focus on the economy.

If Cain runs, who on earth are4 all the racists going to vote for? In the last election there was hardly a black face in sight at Republican rallies. I'll tell you now, Republicans will not run a black man.

If Cain gets the nod , there is no way he will carry the republican stronghold of the south. Bubba will sit home before he will dishonor his ancestors and vote for a man of color. Sorry folks that is just the way things are in the southland.

Bio on Herman Cain:
* Bachelor's degree in Mathematics.
* Master's degree in Computer Science.
* Mathematician for the Navy, where he worked on missile ballistics
(making him a rocket scientist).
* Computer systems analyst for Coca-Cola.
* VP of Corporate Data Systems and Services for Pillsbury (this is the
top of the ladder in the computer world, being in charge of information systems for a major corporation).
All achieved before reaching the age of 35.

He did all this starting from rock bottom (his father was a chauffeur and his mother was a maid). When you add up his accomplishments in his life, including reaching the top of three unrelated industries: information systems, business management, and banking, Herman Cain may have the most impressive resume of anyone that has run for the presidency in the last half century.

Cain is an idiot who would shift even more wealth to the rich. His plans are half-baked and would be ruinous to the middle class and to the country. But that's why the tea party GOP loves him. Idiocy loves company!
