A pox on both their houses. They all need to go to the unemployment line and adults need to take their place. Term Limits people. Professional politicians on both sides are ruining this country.

Find it rather ironic that the republicans want less government, but they increased the size of government during the Bush administration more than any other in the history of the U.S., find it hypocritical when they are in office they double and triple deficits. They are biggest hypocrites in the history of the U.S.

The system will (eventually) correct itself, one way or another. The more all of these guys run their mouths (because it's all they have ever done) the more likely the chance of a massive voter turnout to throw them all out of office, Rep and Dem, despite the money the Corps and Rich are throwing at them to keep them there. It will be interesting to see how long it takes to replace them and how many will get it before the hook comes out to snatch them off stage.

We need to get hip to the fact that BOTH parties have hosed this country. The federal government is collapsing from its own weight. Lobbyists need to be removed from the system. Blank check military funding needs to end. Maybe gridlock is better than mutual backscratching in Congress.

Urgent: Am calling on all media to step up their coverage of the East Africa famine.
Up to 12 million may eventually die a slow tortuous death of starvation, dehydration in the scorching desert. 30,000, mostly children already have.

I My fear is that due to: 1. previous headlining grabbing natural disasters; 2. the existence of online charitable organizations and a fact-finding effort underway; 3. tiny progress with the ruling Al Shabab in Somalia, people are under the impression that something is being done. But the deaths are continuing.

II We are disaster fatigued. We are also militarily stretched to the point that we are reluctant to aid Syrian dissidents and are mourning our dead if Afghanistan. And the debt and presidential campaign are easier stories than an acceleration of an ongoing crisis.

III Finally, the horror may be of such a magnitude that people have more difficulty getting outraged as when they did with Caylee Anthony. Which would mean one child getting more coverage than 30,000 and counting.

Pressure needs to be put on the president, members of Congress and the U.N. to act immediately to get food, water and medicine to East Africa.

Again. Please step up your coverage of this story.

We elect representatives to represent our views while working towards the best possible solutions to issues, not to salt the earth after slaying all "the enemies" in government. Fanatics can not be part of a solution. And both sides, although far more on the right, intentionally inflame their bases to increase the level of fanaticism.

We need to make changes to reduce the influence of the fanatics on both sides, and we need to elect representatives that understand what they are there to do, not take a stand that will destroy us all.

no counterpoint excalihalitosis?

Counterpoint???

Good grief, name-caller, have a look at your surroundings! THAT is my "counterpoint"!
Overrulled1's initial comment is total nonsense as he continues his (and obviously yours) emotional diatribe of the "Blame Bush Syndrome" w/o links, proof, or evidence of any kind!
Over the last few months, I have provided documented evidences and links from both left AND right slanted viewpoints, and the "educated" responses I get from people like you is something similar to "neener-neener-neener"!!!

...get freaking real, dude!

Xila654 raise the taxes on the rich and corporations no loop holes at all cut the spending by stopping both wars cut the pay in Washington by 50% cut all there help and let them see how the working people are done when a company ask you to do two or three extra jobs cut all pork for every state and nothing changes until debt is paid and any company that moves one more job out of this country at the taxpayers expense fine your import tax will triple if you do business in the US if any AMERICAN company wants to create jobs in the us there taxes can be lowered.

The government shouldn't have to raise taxes on anybody, they should be getting their house in order and stop giving military aid to nations like Pakistan and Israel, but that will never happen they're just so used to living off tax payer money, paying off their henchmen and propping up their puppets around the world, did you know the super embassy in Iraq cost about 1 billion a year to maintain, The more tax revenue the government receives the more they'll waste. America hasn't learned from the actions of former fallen empires, but they say history repeats itself, it's human nature, when you have money you want power, when you have power you want more power and more money. If you're a human virtually it's virtually impossible to resist the temptation

It's funny that many of the countries enjoying triple A status provide medical benefits for everyone, they practice what Tea Partiers would call socialism, and they have high income taxes on their populations. The Tea Partiers and Republicans want to decrease Social Security and Medicare, cut taxes on corporations, and continue huge tax benefits for the wealthy which should have ended years ago. Yet they scream and holler about socialism and our country going to the dogs. Incredible disconnect!

Please, someone name a corporation they think shouldn't have to pay any taxes....

Any of these, perhaps? http://blogs.suntimes.com/sweet/2011/03/ten_giant_us_companies_avoidin.html

Poor companies just can't seem to make it on their own... we'd better have Big Government step in and help them!!!

Sheesh!
