Nevermind what happened to the US Flags on the moon,
The real story is what happened to the US Flags in the White House during press conferences?

I find it so sad that 40yrs after one of the greatest achivements in
US history was sending astronauts to the moon, there are still doubters out there. These persons are a such a strange lot. They would have us believe that every single employee who worked for NASA in the 50s and 60s are behind some grand conspiracy.Every single employeee who help build the Saturn 5 launch vehicle,Apollo spacecraft and
lunar module were involved in this conspiracy.Every single astronaut who risked his life going into space back then were involved in this grand conspiracy The Soviet Union and China who were our cold war rivals who we ALL KNOW were watching the US and would have been the first one to scream FAKE if the US attempted such a massive deception on the world.Evey single non-government scientist who tracked every single Apollo moon mission from ground based observatorys were hehind this conspiracy. The list could go on and on but you get the idea

12 men walked on the moon from 1969-1972 To believe otherwise
is simply and utterly moronic

all you yahhoos who believe NASA put men on the moon should ask yourself why they haven't attempted to another manned moon mission: it's too dangerous

yours is a stupid comment. go to a planitarium and ask a scientist. just because you don't have a laser does not mean someone else has not done the experiment.

The Hubble was designed to photograph deep space objects. It wasn't designed to photograph the moon or other stuff in the solar system

I dunno 'bout that. The .458 Win Mag was designed to shoot elephants but it also works REALLY WELL on mice, if you don't mind a little "collateral damage" and having no "trophy head" to hang on the wall. :))

I'm guessing the flags were probably burned as a protest against U.S. imperialism by the local inhabitants.

don't forget that v-ger developed into a life form on star trek after being left alone for too long.

My God .... the slide of America into cynical apathy had started even back then. It was nothing more than a photo opportunity. Leave a symbolic remnant of those who came there? Forget that! Just make sure Captain Video (I knew Ed) gets the footage for the 5 O'Clock News, and who cares what happens to the damn flag after that. Let's not forgot that the country is now the last thing on the minds of government employees.
