- The leaders of this country who orchestrated 9/11 scare me more than any terrorist. Wake up and realize who the real enemy is America!

- I remember seeing on TV the second plane crashing into the North Tower. The most curios aspect was the lack of total evidence on TV or elsewhere of the plane's debris that struck the Pentagon. Also, after most crashes one sees debris of all types strewn at the crashsite. Items such as clothes, suitcases, plane wreckage etc. But in the plane crash in Pennsylvania, all that was visible on TV was the impact hole. Strange indeed! Conspiracy theories always present perplexing 'facts.'

- The world's access to the USA's major new networks is nothing new.
In fact during the Gulf War, Department of Defense Secretary Dick Cheney was asked about bomb damage assessment, and his answer: "According to CNN, it looks like we hit our targets". Saddam Hussien promptly reacted by closing off the communication links that were supporting the transmissions for CNN's Bernard Shaw.
When a terrorist watches an American news network to acquire bomb damage assessment data about one of their attacks, it is often their best source of intelligence. Our open society has no shortage of curiosity or enthusiasm to report. - Reply to this comment
- Kronkite is rolling in his grave as CBS News breathlessly reports fluff about prostrations, "impotence injections" and a "tonsils operation".
Actually these documents reveal new facts about Guantanamo:
1.) Bush and Obama administrations knowingly imprisoned more than 150 innocent men for years without charge.
2.) In dozens of cases, senior U.S. commanders were said to have concluded that there was no reason for the men to have been transferred to Guantanamo.
3.) Among the innocent prisoners were an 89-year-old Afghan villager and a 14-year-old boy who had been kidnapped.
4.)Some men were imprisoned at Guantanamo simply because they wore a popular model of Casio watches, which had been used as timers by al-Qaeda.
5.)The documents also reveal that the journalist Sami al-Hajj was held at Guantanamo for six years partly in order to be interrogated about his employer, the Al Jazeera network. - Reply to this comment
