- Bob Schieffer worked a near-miracle at CBS news, and took a troubled news organization and turned it completely around. He remains the standard by which true journalism is to be measured. Thank you for your wonderful service, Mr. Schieffer.

- I don't like to watch the news, so much negativity! I prefer the internet to stay informed, HOWEVER, I tuned in on Katie's debut just to see... I was AMAZED, she took something thats so dark and sad and put a credible face on it that I TRUST and thats her cache, shes trust worthy. Katie, Ms. Couric, please don't ever betray that trust! Its what makes you someone I want to invite into my home. Keep up the good work!

- Last night was an amazing news cast. Katie was refreshing to watch and a joy to hear from. In the past I have always turned on NBC but from today foward its all CBS for my evening news!

- I think its ridiculous how people are bashing Courics performance. And although I did not like the fact that she brought up Tom Cruise, I still think she should be given more credit.
No one is taking into consideration how hard it is to be in her shoes right now. There is a tremendous amount of pressure being put on her shoulders.
