- Mr Pelley, your story on the CSS Hunley was fascinating to say the least except the comment made by South Carolina State Senator Glen McConnell that the CSS Hunley was the first submarine in combat service in the civil was is wrong, the CSS Manassas was the first civil war submarine and is still intact somewhere under the ocean as her crew scuttled her and sank her.

- When I search on evening news simulcast on the internet I got many, many hits for CBS Evening News being live streamed simulcast on the CBS Evening News website. I have searched everywhere and did not find the link. Also found you on UStream and it was not working, just a live shot from a webcam of the Capitol. Please put the link prominently on the site so I don't have to wait several hours to see it as a full episode in video BTW you are the only evening news to live stream or video cast a full episode on the same day, so kudos and thanks from a laid-off recessionista who got rid of her cable bill.

- Last night (Jan 2) Scott Pelley, commenting on an indistinct remark by Santorum about black welfare, reported that "only" 9% of welfare recipients in Iowa are black while over 80% are white. In slanting the news, what he failed to mention is that only 2.9% of the population in Iowa is black.

- You should report on the story currently on Yahoo by Chris Moody about the GOP schooling its politicians on what choice of words they should use in responding to constituents on issues. Words like "compromise, entrepreneurs, capitalism, taxes" are out. It is incredible news reporting on a subject that mainstream America should have delivered to their living rooms. If the Democrats are caught engaging in Newspeak lessons down the road, do that story too

- Scott: Why was it, as moderator of the recent GOP Debate you felt it necessary to argue with the candidates. As I understand the process, you ask the questions, the candidates answer and the audience uses this info to make a decision on whether or not we support a candidate. Wise up and stop being so arrogant.

- We are sick to death off the Cain bashing. ...It's not as if we need to toss Eric Holder, or investigate Obama's Solyndra dealing...Do you realize how much time you have given to SPECULATION on a canidate verses what th ACTUAL present administration is doing to the integrity of our country!
CBS is off my list. Sick you having the audacity to request CAIN step down, how dare you try to rail road my presidential options to meet your own needs.... - Reply to this comment
- Mr. Pelly:
Last week, Thursday - I believe -- I watched two back to back stories on the CBS Evening News and have been stewing about the coincidence since. I am wondering how many others have made a sinfully easy connection between the two.
The first story was the orchard owner bemoaning the fact that his apples would be ruined if they were not harvested and that while he paid a good wage [$150/day?], he could not get people to fill the spots needed for a successful harvest.
The second story was regarding the college students bemoaning the fact that they were losing monies from grants and government scholarships and had to graduate from college with far too much debt.
What I saw was a compliment of two needs...the need for a successful harvest and a willingness to pay for the workers to insure that successful harvest...and a bunch of students in dire need of money to partially fund the education they feel they need.
Any farming experience is not easy, nor clean, nor completely safe; however, it might be very healthy, educational, and the type of experience which would give back to the students & farmers alike - financially, emotionally & a life-building experience! I do not know why each local college cannot have harvest groups to bring in the harvest and set that time as their "Fall" and/or "Spring" breaks.
I also would think that the colleges/universities would much rather graduate student who care enough about their education to put in a hard, dirty days' work than those who flitter off to the bars or Spring break!
I have decided that your CBS pre-news meeting placed the two back to back for a reason? I am watching CBS News again - on purpose, mind you, since you came on board. I grew up and raised my eldest girl with Walter Cronkite and am back, thank you.

- This is what I've been living through for over 3 years now.
Perhaps someone can help explain how someone can use car batteries and magnets to suck the 'aura' off someone while teams 'play' in someone elses dreams using RFID.
Also, according to the 'dream teams'... sound transcends time...
How would this work? I read an article on a quantum computer in a MIT magazine with only lights in a black void of space. How can someone build a quantum computer using RFID and someone's soul (their lights, emotions, and feelings -- lights starting with their dreams then moving into their entire soul -- think of a crab needing a new house)?
Sounds crazy? keep reading. it's what I've been living through for over 3 years (over 15 years having RFID used on my brain). This is the only way I can try to explain what I've been going through... although it doesn't even begin to explain the abject horror of what an entire city (chicago) of people had been doing to me... (it's not even on my website yet.)
Throw a pebble in a still pond and watch the rings getting bigger and bigger as they ripple outward.
Now step in front of a really loud speaker with a lot of bass and think about those ripples -- big and small. Think of the world as the pebble you threw in the pond and all the 'sounds' eminating from it as the rings of the water rippling outward in the black void of space along with your very own number (consider your mind a computer) rippling with it.
(consider a bomb going off in the distance, what is it that will blow your house into smithereens? the bomb or the 'ripples'?)
Now, think about your 'vibrations' with and without the speaker. Think of the vibrations going through every point of your body and consider your body as the speaker -- think of your feelings and thoughts right now.
Consider your 'number' as your feelings/emotions just like the radio your playing, with every thought, feeling, and emotion as the sound eminating from your body--your speaker. A very specific 'sound' that can be 'picked up' just like the radio station (or cable, internet, etc.).
Consider other people as 'sponges' that can feel you as you walk by them... keep thinking about that really loud speaker and the vibrations reverbating through your body. Every person you walk by is the 'speaker' you 'feel' (the 'chemistry' between you). Now turn up the volume on their 'speaker'; just as you felt the sounds of the speaker, you can now feel them and their thoughts.
Now reverse the whole thing, think of them as feeling you by turning up your number as they 'use' your radio and speaker -- turning up the vibrations of your entire body including your thoughts and feelings -- so they can not only 'feel' you but also manipulate you.
Now consider a magnetic card reader as you consider your own source of energy, your light, and your 'number'.
Think of psychic as people who 'pick up the sounds that transcend time and space' -- energy that is always there; easily picked up if you are 'tuned in'.
What do people use to copy the number of other peoples credit cards as they walk by them (in their pockets)? - Reply to this comment
- I was watching tonight and felt compelled to ask some questions. Why did you not tell the public that our president put troops on the ground in Uganda? Why does this administration get a pass from your writers and reporters and never seem to be held reasonably accountable for what he or his staff does? There is a clear bias in your reporting of our government when I review all of the information available - whether on Fox, CNN, or (heaven help me when I watch it) MSNBC. I do watch your report every night and am begging you to try to be more balanced and give all of the news, not just part of it. My family does enjoy your public interest stories but would like facts reported about all events effecting our government. When we have more of our soldiers committed now in another arena overseas, when we have war actions now in four different countries, someone in the news needs to let us know why. Please ask the hard questions and present the news factually and decrease biased reporting.

- Why does the News still give inaccurate information on Vitamins and the purpose they serve us. How can you sit there with a straight face and put this on the news. First you have the FDA doing this study which a problem in itself on the the mire fact that they are funded by the pharmcies they are suppose to protect us from. Second how is it something that is an ecential nutrient in our body going to be bad for us. also on top of that why is it we as a nation continue to treat symptoms instead of the cause. You need to do the real facts and research on the benifits of mega dose vitamin therapy. talk to the actual people it has help and the lives it has saved with out the drug and the side affects that come with it.
