- Juliane Assange claims to work within the rules of the United States, but the fact that the U.S. is a member of western society leave us the most vulnerable to his aims. He takes advantage of our freedoms to mainly hurt us, just as the 9/11 terrorists did and all terrorists do. He is basically a terrorist trying to appear as an innocent.

- Steve Kroft kept saying in the interview what most of us think in America. Kroft does not speak for American and he does not speak for me as an America. Julian Assange is honorable and he is doing things and exposing people and countries for the right reasons. I am glad I saw this interview with this bogus reporter. It only confirmed what I already felt that Assange is since and Kroft is trying to bait him with lying question. Assange had good answers and Kroft could not trip him up. So as a Christian Conservative I want what is done in the dark to be exposed and I respect Assange for all that he is doing and AMEN to that!

- 60 minutes has a history of reporting news and investigating issues that were deemed "hot" and certainly showed our government, military, company executives, our human rights issues and many other situations in a very negative but truthful light. Freedom of speech and freedom to publish without censorship are important individual rights not to be retained when the government deems it OK and deemed criminal when the government chooses. What is to set us apart from China, Iraq, North Korea and many other countries who deny that right and persecute or kill anyone who would dare to spread the truth. How can the American people know if our government can be trusted or must be dismantled through legitimate elections without such information?

- What am I missing here? I don't care what Assange does OUTSIDE of this country, but how dare he sway OUR Constitution/Bill of Right's First Amendment applies to HIM! Yes, it may cause our government some grief and aggarvation prosecuting him and not the NY Times, but gimme a break! I can't believe 60 Minutes isn't commenting on this! Utter unadulterated baloney!
Hey, Assange, if you want the freedom of speech, seek it from your own country. Our's does not entitle it to anyone but citizens. The fact that we tend to allow anyone to latch onto the coattails of our Constitution and Bill of Rights is our own fault. We need to stop doing that. You are not entitled, despite your self-righteous position. - Reply to this comment

- coucou,
STEVE KROFT: Did you encourage anyone to leak this material to you?
JULIAN ASSANGE: No, never.
.......
Julian Assange est sinc?re,
concernant la fuite de documents, les USA sont les seuls responsables, pourquoi vouloir rejeter leurs fautes sur les autres
..................
Julian Assange is sincere, full stop
on leaked documents, the U.S. is solely responsible, why would reject their faults on others
