- Ok, this guy does cry a lot and that became annoying. But come on, that journalist was a total B&*%^. She was just rude and it seemed more about her opinion of him rather than showcasing our new speaker. I gained nothing from this interview. Fail.

- Wow! After watching the interview I was left feeling Mr. Boehner is an unstable person, one that cannot control his emotions. I never knew this, I'll have to pay more attention to his public appearances.

- I've read a few of the other comments and wonder why there is so much concern about the deficit now and not when progressives, liberals, extreme-left-wing democrats crammed through spending bill upon spending bill upon spending bill with no worry about the deficit. Even our beloved Vice-President Biden said, paraphrased, "We have to spend ourselves into oblivion to get out of the recession." Is there any sane person anywhere who honestly believes you can spend money you cannot repay to get out of a recession? By the way, there is no progressive, liberal, extreme-left-wing democrat who is as committed to "redistribution of wealth" as a hog is to bacon.

- One minute into the Boehner story on TV and I'm already questioning Lesley Stahl's intelligence. Somebody please tell her that the position of the Speaker of the House is SECOND in line to the presidency, not third. The sitting president is NOT "in line", he already holds the position.

- I just heard Leslie Stahl call Representative John Boehner a "hard line conservative of late". She offered no "hard line progressive liberal" comment about President Barack Hussein Obama. CBS and Stahl, your progressive, liberal, extreme-left-wing ideology is apparent.

- He wants to cut spending to pay for tax cuts. They should cut spending and use the extra money to pay off the debt, not the super rich

- Boehner is just another bonehead. How the f**k are we to pay down the deficit when the country has no jobs or income. I suppose it's wishful thinking that some real person will stand up and expose our lying government.
We used to rely on the press to expose the rot and corruption. Now they are just front men for all the corruption. Boot lickers and lackeys for their corporate bosses. They should all be sent packing so we can use the airwaves for something honest and useful, like live porn. Our government, the press and our banks and corporations are no more than prostitutes who don't drop their drawers so all that gets exposed are talking heads and suits. We need a real live honest porn queen instead of Sarah Palin. Linda Lovelace where are you. She would be a shoe-in for president today. - Reply to this comment

- After eight years of going along with the dim-witted GW Bush on every budget-busting notion that popped into his head, suddenly Boehner wants us to believe he's fiscally responsible?!?
