- I was so glad to see a detailed report of what happened at the oil spill. It was very well done and easy to follow the tragedy. I greatly admire Mr. WIlliams for his bravery that night but more importantly for his bravery in speaking out now. I hope he recieves only support for telling the truth! I am appalled by BP's behavior both before and after the tragedy and will never buy gas from them again. I wish there was more I could do to make a company like them care about safety!!! Perhaps they will at least lose their business now, when they pay all the penalities and costs from this disaster so they will at least be done doing more damage. I pray something happens to make them pay attention to all that they have caused and all that we are losing as a result.

- It would appear from the story that BP is at least guilty of manslaughter and maybe murder since the non-safe conditions were known well beforehand. They demanded and assumed control of operations in spite of being told of the various problems.

- if 60 minutes story wasnt so flawed it would be better. if you would talk to someone that at least knows what they are talking about.i being an oilwell driller find it hard to beleave that you didnt consult with someone who knows the diagram of what you are talking about. i know but to someone who has no clue what goes on,on the drilling rig they still dont. you failed to mention that on either side of the anular are pipe rams that completely close around the drill pipe.but it does not matter on this because they are cementing a plug with open end pipe probably, and when they displaced the heavy mud with sea water the hydrostatic head was not sufficient to hold down the preasure.but if who ever in charge obvisley was not paying attention to the standpipe preasure gauge or the blowout would not hav happened. unless the bop was not working at all.and when you talked about the pieces of rubber, they would have come over the shale shaker, but since there are a lot of places this rubber could come from on a drilling rig.also the anullar is designed to strip drillpipe through it

- GREAT story! I hope 60 Minutes wins many awards for this. However,at the same time,I'm not sure I've ever been so disturbed and angered by a story. The U.S. government should consider BP, in particular, and TransOcean criminally negligent and punish accordingly.
