McConnell ought to know why we aren't pleased with the results, because there are no results to speak of. He has to have it my way or the highway, like a lot of the rude, self-centered drivers on the road today. He apparently doesn't know the meaning of the word, compromise -- 248 filibusters, what a bunch of arrogant, self-centered Republican buttholes. Good thing we kept one of them out of the White House.

Not sure how many Republicans know this but Norquist is a married to a muslim and against america. If you dont believe me look up his wife (Samah Alrayyes) She is a Palestinian Muslim. Look it up he doesn't try and hide it as a matter of fact he's proud of it. So just so you know 95% of Republicans have signed his pledge to not raise Tax's. This should tell you that he plans on destroying the US through bankruptcy. As he once said kill the head and the body dies. AND YOU REP. ARE PROUD OF THIS. THIS IS WHO YOU FOLLOW? you might want to think about all your comments about Obama and apply them to your own party. Just a thought.

It's been broken since Vietnam and Watergate. Most of our younger generations will never know what a well-functioning Legislative/Executive branch is supposed to look like.

Issue is the filibuster by proxy. If they want to filibuster they should have to man-up and go the distance on the floor of the Senate speaking word for word. This would eliminate the filibuster in all but the key issues.

I would like to see a comparison of Senate approval ratings before and after the news cameras were introduced to the Senate floor. Once the cameras entered the debate - compromise was much, much more difficult and grandstanding became more important.

Headline: Is the U.S. Senate broken?

Followed by a 4 page long explanation of the word:

Yes.

Whoever wins the presidency can do a better service to the Nation if he gets the Senate with him!

Mitch McConnell says that the reason the American people have given Congress such a low approval rating is because they are unhappy with the results. NO, they are unhappy because there are NO RESULTS!! They have hardly anything to show for these 4 years! We the people have elected the Congressmen and -women to go to Washington and do their job. Our taxes pay their salaries. WE are their bosses (or should be). Think about this -- is there anyone out there who has any other type of job and if it became obvious after just a short time that you were not doing anything, or if everyone disagreed about how to get things done and therefore didn't do anything, would not be fired?? Yet these politicians are not subject to losing their jobs until their terms are up, and even then, they are usually reelected. eburcher is right -- throw all the bums out!
