- It really makes no sense. Any other prescription drug requires strict regulations as to both production and distribution. I have no dispute with the fact the drug serves a legit medicinal purpose, but why is it being distributed by store-front laypersons? If you're going to make it legal, it shouldn't be in the form of "weed". The active ingredient, THC, should be extracted by a properly regulated pharmaceutical company, processed into pill or liquid form, and dispensed only through a pharmacy. I defy anyone to name any other prescribed drug distributed by anyone other than a pharmacist...it really makes no sense.

- I've already mailed my absentee ballot in and have voted for legalization. I don't smoke or use the stuff but if others wish to then that is their business just like the naysayer's taking a drink is their business.

- This country runs on alcohol. Bear Wine, Hard Booze it does't matter. When tolerating the deaths, assaults, domestic violence against women and children and some men, medical cost and lost work time just to name a few of the problems Alcohol bring to this nation and Pot is the evil one, Give me a break. What is going to kill America - sitting @ home smoking a few bong hits or lighting up a "J" at the end of a long day or drinking a 6-pack or a 12-pack or a 20-pack of beer or those (4) boxes of wine I saw two women carry to the check-out counter in the grocery store @ 10:00 am yesterday or the 3 or 4 drinks of Scotch every evening like my deceased father-in-law did until he got Liver Cancer - (caught in early and could have cut it out, but most of his liver was hard as a rock from drinking for 50+years). Until you are willing to call ALL ALCOHOL a MAJOR problem in this country don't be calling out weed as the problem it is not. Remember Nancy Reagan and her simple - Just Say NO - and then serving wine @ White House dinners - Oh man what a hypocrite.
