- Realistically, if you knew (insider information) that the price of silver was going to double tomorrow, how many would not purchase all they could afford. Pass these insider laws and you are just asking for our congressman and senators to violate the laws. OK I won't buy but I'll tell my close friend and he will and will share after I retire. Its smoke and mirrors.

- CORRUPTION BY OUR "LEGISLATORS" IS RAMPANT. AT THE TIME WHEN MILLIONS OF PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO GET OUT OF THE DIRE SITUATION THAT LEFT THEM WITHOUT JOBS, HOMES AND FINANCIAL RESOURCES, THESE CROOKS ARE TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THEIR JOBS TO BECOME RICHER. THERE ARE ABOUT 35 MILLIONAIRE IN THE SENATE, AND 200 MILLIONAIRES IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, AND THE LIST IS GETTING BIGGER. WE SHOULD GET RID OF THESE INDIVIDUALS ASAP, AS THAT IS NOT THE REASON WE ELECTED THEM FOR.

You're telling me that Nancy Pelosi is the ONLY Democrat guilty of this crime? I learned of this story months ago and you're making it sound like you just discovered this!
You're on top of things there, Steve!!! Do you understand why people don't trust the media when you run such a blatantly biased story......biased against one party and thus inferring the other party is "guiltless"?
ALL of this insider trading is disgusting but YOU, Steve, need to update this story with another THREE Democrats guilty o this crime.

- While this story is important, the rhetoric Steve used to describe Members of Congress was troubling to me. He constantly referred to Members of Congress as "CongressMEN," rather than "representatives," or some other gender-neutral title.
At a time where women, who represent 51% of the population, comprise less than 1/5 of the representatives in Congress, I think it's important to use language that promotes an image of politicians that is favorable to both genders. Especially on a show as influential as 60 Minutes. - Reply to this comment
- Now how many years have they been legally doing something we get jailed for? If Congress ever expects the US Citizenry to have any respect for them I would suggest they start living by the same laws they push on us. That includes Obamacare, if the Supreme Court lets it stand. Or have the people already forgotten that Congress neatly exempted themselves from being bound by it before they finished pushing it on us.
