- I've been complaining about this for many years now.
I'm a semiconductor engineer and have worked at many companies and have served many companies by being a corporate applications engineer.
There are a large number of Chinese workers at most of the places Ive visited in the USA. Ive visited places in England and Finland (Nokia) and there are very few Chinese engineers there.
Also, I have personally seen very strange behaviors by Chinese when working in the Bay Area. Photocopying, working on weekends and they were not accessing data that had anything to do with their own project.
US companies are extremely lax against corporate espionage! Flash/jump dives hold 32G and they are very small. Email, ftp are still not secure. Heck,, they even steal disk drives...still. They merely buy a disk drive,, and do an image copy and swap in their work station.
US companies and US government offices do very little of what they should be doing to protect their data. - Reply to this comment
- i cannot believe that people believe that illegals are the source of spies. are they going to slip into the country and spy on how much water our gardens get??? the main reason, we are stupid....really... for example, look at the H-1B visa, the genius visa. highly educated immigrants get to work in the most sensitive industries in the usa, and companies are begging for them. if they are smart enough to get a ph.d and they can easily transfer secret data.
lastly, sure not all h1-b holders are spies, but.... - Reply to this comment
- President Bush started by having to fight a war on two fronts. The worse of it was the intelligence communities inability to work together.

- no surprise. our borders are so easy to cross. the canadian border, entry by the seas, entry via mexico. the nation has 12 million known illegals but there are also unknowns.
