- The difference between Southern corruption and others is this Sheriff never equated himself with the evil element in society. He sees himself as a Godly man somehow despite his conduct. Ask Southern who participated in Church burnings and Lynching in the South during Jim Crow days if the were Godly they would defiantly feel they where. Nothing has changed in the South.

- Typical southern down home justice with plenty of corruption to boot. This guy wont do well in prison without his badge and all the thugs he enlisted on the outside. I hope he never gets out for a long long time.

- Much of the time I'm ashamed to admit I have a degree in journalism. But not in this case--right on!

- This sounds just like Humphreys County, TN. Except its not only the Sheriff and most of the Deputies, its also the local Judges, Lawyers, and Political Officials. Their favorite saying here is if you can't beat em, join em! They all eventually do.

- Finally! Good for those reporters! Take a stand! Jeazel Pete did the same thing. Corruption is everywhere and we have a way to fix it. Look for Article VIII:The Story of Jeazel Pete for the BEST way to fix America and it starts with the NEWS! Great job you guys!!!

- It is so refreshing to see news workers doing their job.
And so dispiriting to compare that work with what news media generally provide under the heading of 'news'.
The nation is better off for the former and worse off for the latter. - Reply to this comment
