Did any of these ENEMY COMBATANTS have to watch the women in thier families being raped? Did any of these EC's have white hot pokers shoved into their orifices? Did any of these EC's watch the government that was supposed to protect them murder their family and friends? Torture, you want to say waterboarding is torture? You want to say sleep deprivation is torture? Americans have no IDEA what torture is. Fat, lazy and stupid, protected by two oceans, and relatively passive government, with money to spare (as long as the Fed keeps printing it) Americans have no right to condemn what the people in power feel needs to be done. Americans are so ideologically blinded and ignorant, they condemn ANYONE from the "other" Party while looking the other way when their Party does the exact same thing. Stupid. The alternative is to either profile all people of certain backgrounds, OR do nothing and wait for it to happen again and cry about it like a bunch of little babies. While I don't agree with the supposed war on terror (or the wars on poverty and drugs) it is quite possible the officials felt they had no choice at the time, and 10+ years later, we still do not have reliable ways to get accurate information at all times. Grow up, we did it, and now we move on to the next best idea someone in the security apparatus comes up with, we are all only human.
P.S. Shaz -- what is your point sir? The whole religion of Islam is based off a serial pedophile rapist and murderer named Mohammed. At least we make an attempt to incarcerate (with varying success) our criminals.

You do know this guy is a spy, right? He destroyed the tapes to protect his people from the Taliban/El Qaida? Or was it from the courts?

It is horrifying to see lack of basic common sense in American posters...

CONGRATULATIONS TO LESLIE STAHL WHO DID AN ADMIRABLE JOB WITH THE RODRIGUEZ INTERVIEW. AS A DECENT, COMPASSIONATE PERSON IT MUST HAVE BEEN HARD FOR HER TO FACE THIS MAN WHO DISCUSSED TORTURING ANOTHER HUMAN BEING WITH SUCH NONCHALANCE. IT WAS AS IF HE WERE DISCUSSING A FINANCIAL MEETING. IT IS HARD TO BELIEVE THAT THIS COUNTRY, OF THE GOOD GUYS, HAS LOWERED ITSELF TO TORTURE. DOES THAT MAKES US AS DEPLORABLE AS THE TERRORISTS? MR. RODRIGUEZ IS AN EXAMPLE OF A PERSON WITH NO SENSIBILITIES. WAS HE A REISSUE OF THE TORTURERS OF THE MIDDLE Ages?. OUR GREAT COUNTRY SHOULD SET AN EXAMPLE TO THE WORLD OF HUMANE TREATMENT OF PRISONERS AND NOT LOWER OURSELVES TO THEIR LEVEL.I AM SICKENED BY RODRIGUEZ AND THE WHOLE ASPECT.HOW CAN ANY OF THESE PEOPLE SLEEP AT NIGHT?

One thing Jose Rodriguez said during the interview was, "we needed to put on our big boy pants". He could never have been more right. Leslie Stahl clearly disagreed with Rodriguez's actions and affiliation with the program installed to secure our safety even further. She alluded to the thought that these were anti-American acts and that our country wasn't supposed to do this. I'm sorry but our country had never faced an attack on American soil with further threats of more attacks to come before either. Leslie should ask the families who lost loved ones because of these terrorist how they feel about these interregations. I'm sure for them the time passed has not caused them to forgot about the severity of 9/11. Our country did need to put on our "big boy pants" and this is exactly what our nation did. We defended ourselves by taking these preventative measures.I'm thankful for the protection Jose Rodriguez and the other government officials provided for our nation.

Ever paid attention to your own women, who are treated as in the most Heinous way like a discarded piece of trash...

10 women in New York city slaughtered by some demented, sadistic rapist, torturer like Jose and you.

You make your women the best Porn stars and whor for your disgusting needs of perversity,degradation,depravity...etc

Not to mention you took your despicable behavior to Colombia and exploited the Colombian women and children by calling them prostitutes...

What you do your women on daily basis, not in entire Islamic history of 1500 years has been done...

Your one day of violence against women exceeds 1500 years of Islamic history and the treatments of women...

No wonder American Belladonna with a serious case of melanoma was crying on ABC...

American culture and its pedophiles,Sadistic rapists, serial killers of women, and children shock the conscience of every sane living human around the world...

Except thugs like you who gratify from such horrors...

This interview has nothing to do with "democracy" (my point of view vs his/her point of view). It was only an occasion for the promotion of Mr. Rodriguez's book on the defense of crimes against humanity. It is unacceptable by any standards. The only way to compensate for this assault on human decency and redeem the US of being another rogue country would be to air a solid refutation of Mr. Rodriguez's preposterous stance (stance in which he is but the ventriloquist of the institution he represented)

Flogged Logic!

I don't think ex-CIA (and fall guy) Chief Rodriguez really understands the amount of harm he has done to the United States' standing around the world. Someday he will.
