This interview had to be scripted or at least the questions had to be provided to Mr. Obama prior. It appeared to be designed to give the President air time to offer excuses for his low ratings in the polls and the low popularity as resulting from his programs. As someone else said. it was "lame."

During the interview, Obama used the analogy of being the Captain of a ship with his staff as the crew and the American people in this ship on rough waters, in a storm, and as they are getting tossed about that they would not respond that they were enjoying the ride. But then he added that he could not control the weather, only steer the ship. Well, in pilot training if you get caught in bad weather, you are to find your way out as quickly as possible. We need a new captain that can get us out of this storm, not just steer blaming the weather.

Has CBS joined the Obama Re-Election Campaign?? This was a good pro-Obama softball puff piece...no hard questions at all. CBS makes a great lapdog. I suppose if tough questions were asked, CBS would lose its access. No questions about 'guns walking'. None about foreign policy. None about his failure fulfill his promise to close Gitmo in 2010. None about bringing the Gitmo detainees to US civilian courts. None about Obama ducking a decision on the Keystone pipeline or the White House role in the Solyndra mess. Oh well. I guess hard questions and journalistic ambush are reserved for Republicans.

I have never heard a President speak with such manipulation-
Making the people think that all his problems are due to the Republican Party.

The idiots disappointed in Obama don't have a clue anyway and are completely unconscious and ignorant of how the office of President works. Obama inherited the worst economy since the Great Depression. The Great Recession began in 2006, when Bush was president and when Republicans had been in control of the Congress since 1994! Intelligent, thoughtful people understand full well that the Republicans failed policies and poor governance caused all of these financial hardships. The Republicans raped and pillaged the middle class and gave away our power and our money to the banks, corporations and the 1% rich. You want to fix the USA? THEN DONT ELECT REPUBLICANS STUPID. Electing republicans to the Congress in 2010 was the stupidest thing Americans ever did. Americans hog tied their own Congress and rendered Obama practically impotent at a time when the country is in great peril. Americans have themselves to blame. Look in the mirror and see the source of your problems. Its not the POTUS.

The President is a smooth devil. I admire his skills to convince and manipulate. I am repulsed by his ideas and methods. He is a socialist. He does want to take from some and give to others. He is relying on the greed of people to keep him in office while he gives them easy gain at the expense of others who have earned it. He must go or our republic will be lost.

Obama is a liar, and everytime Croft brings up one of his lies, Obama changes the script and Croft does not challenge him on it. Is this 60 Minutes or The Obama Show? I wonder if he would have gotten away with blatantly lying to the American People in the Days of Mike Wallace and Harry Reasoner? Does Obama think everybody is as dumb as the people that voted for him that he can tell lie after lie during his interview and people will believe him? The uneducated may, but people that know what is going on and what the truth is, know that he is full of baloney.

CBS is once again the liberals biggest cheerleader. Dan Rather left a typical legacy of trying to influence in an election with false 60 Minutes reporting shortly before an election. Steve Kroft's softball questions once again show their EXTREME and very obvious to all bias. Questions like why did you not negotiate better with Republicans because they gave nothing, preferencing questions with statements like you inherited this mess....... The cheerleading stops and the character assassination begins when you get the GOP n front of you. ALL credibility is lost making this interview irrelevant.

Kroft is a total Republican. I'm not quite sure how people dislike Obama so much. Obama has a lot of great ideas. I don't know how people don't see that it's not Obama, it's the Republican's fighting him every step of the way. That's why a lot of these ideas haven't become a reality.

I am so sick of hearing Steve Kroft talk, I actually may throw up. His interview with the President is only a continuation of his unprofessional remarks--like "you've got them by the short hairs.." from last week. The president deserves better and frankly so do I.
