It is appreciated that CBS has quoted the President verbatim, and has not cleaned up or "edited" the words as he uttered them. It seemed as if he was unfamiliar with the letter "g" as properly used in the English language. It is amazing to see a highly educated man, a president of our country, so lacking in the ability to enunciate thoughts with proper diction. It seemed as if he was unfamiliar with the letter "g" as properly used in the English language.

The clear and accurate pronunciation of words is essential if one is to articulate thoughts clearly.

Okay 99%'ers that are in love with Obama...Please tell me why the "Too Big To Fail" banks were not broken up when we bailed them out? Remember what Reagan did to AT&T. Without his move, I highly doubt we would be where we are in communication tech. I am a 44yr old white male conservative. I have voted Rep all of my life, and I have been cheated by these guys ever since. And you too Dems, please do not go one more day think your party is fighting for you. Both parties at the national letter work for drug cartels, big banks ( including foreign ), CHINA, and supersized corporations. Have tou ever asked youself, how can we track one particular Afganni in a country full od Afgannis but we can not see convoys of 18-wheelers bring in Cocain accross our southern boarder? Have you ever asked yourself, why do we not pay for extended unemployment payments with TARRIFFS on Chinese imports. Ask yourself, how much have our Fed Reserve and Giant banks have bailed out or invested in the EURO after it was deemed risky just to reap the reward know that we will be there to BAIL again? We are too concerned about calling our brother citizen names like teabagger or communist. WE HAVE BEEN PLAYED! We deserve it.

1 Candidate has never flip flopped on any of his positions. 1 Candidate predicted the financial crisis in 2005. 1 Candidate receives more donation from U.S. servicemen than the others. 1 Candidate want to stop foreign handouts. Don't believe the media. See For yourself. Get more facts on the man at: http://www.antination.com/p/contenders.html

Steve, please keep after the government and Obama to TAKE ACTION! It is ridiculous that he stated he has to stay away from this for legal reasons. If someone was working for me (e.g. Justice Dept) and were not doing what is obvious to everyone, they would be on the carpet. Obama does not have to get involved in the investigation but he MUST provide direction to the government. If he sees something wrong (and this is obvious), he should DEMAND action. If that does not work, what is wrong with Congress, they too could address this. If not that, maybe a private law firm should take this on. Why is it that Madoff's was guilty and Countrywide or others walk free??
Please continue to drive the obvious.

It seems to me that our bloated society brought about the perfect storm that created the economic crisis; that and downright greed on the part of many-citizens, corporations and banks alike. A majority of people used to do without things until they saved up money and paid cash; we became impatient and wanted things "now" that led to our credit society. (The US deficit includes all of our individual personal debt too.) It used to be that you had to save up and put money "down" to buy a house, and your mortgage payment (PITI) could equal no more than 1/4 of your total monthly income; the government said that wasn't fair, everybody should be able to buy a house and mandated that lenders increase their riskier loans-hello "zero down" - Goodbye Fannie and Freddie. In the last twenty years, wages climbed, house values climbed and property taxes climbed to support local governments, public schools, public employees and their now better-than-private sector benefits. Our wages and benefits became so bloated, and along with NAFTA, (thanks Clinton-not) many manufacturers could no longer be competitive in the US. Without customers for our products, manufacturing was sent off-shore to keep prices down. Yes, some took advantage of the developing crisis, but no one entity is to blame for our situation. We are in a period of correction now. Average home prices will be down when the dust settles, making them more naturally affordable. I am confident new leadership in 2012 will bring about incentives for bringing jobs back to this country. But common sense has to return along with them. The government gets its income from us, and we all should have "skin in the game." Whatever your definition of "rich," they pay more in taxes than the rest of us, carrying up to 50% who pay no federal income tax. (If you get back what you paid in, you paid nothing-excluding FICA or Social Security, we all pay that.) We need a flat or fair tax-get rid of all the loopholes. Obama and his spread the wealth policies aren't the answer. TANSTAFL.

President Obama stands with the middle class and working public. He stands with teachers, police officers, and the fire fighters all over the country. He has been fighting to insure that the GOP does not further harm this government, our people, our environment or our benefits. The Ryan Plan ends Medicare and includes more tax cuts for the super wealthy. That is all I need to know - just how little the GOP cares about the middle class. Now with all the corporate cash and corruption in the election process they think they can buy more and more anti-American republicans to take over this country for the top 1%.

Another fluff piece by a media that continues to wet itself when Obama speaks. Below is my response to Friday's CBS article announcing Obama was going to be on 60 Minutes. All fair questions but only one asked during the interview. Not clear why the media is afraid to ask Obama how his policies truly help employment when most hinder employment and hurt the poor most of all.
********
I guess we'll find out Sunday if this is another "fluff" piece by the media or real journalism....for the first time. Here's some legitimate questions that were hopefully asked:
1. Does an over-regulated economy create jobs. There were over 80K pages of regulations created last year.
2. Does a green energy strategy that "necessarily and significantly" (Obama's own words) drives up the price of gasoline help create jobs?
3. Gov't spending is eventually paid for by citizens and businesses. Is out-of-control spending really good for the country and job creation?
4. Unions today have a policy of laying off those last hired first rather than getting rid of the slackers. Therefore, the best teachers can be laid off to protect an incompetent teacher with tenure. Is that a really what you and democrats want in our workforce and schools?
5. The economy is poor yet gasoline and food prices are up significantly due to a weak dollar...due to out-of-control spending. Is this helpful to the economy? Do you take any responsibility for anything?
6. Both parties have stated tax reform would be very positive for the economy as would getting spending under control. Obama has said it himself. Yet, he ignored his own debt commission and refuses to "lead" on fiscal issues. Does that help the economy?
7. The Canadian oil pipeline would create thousands of jobs and lower the price of gasoline for all Americans. If they don't sell it to the US, they'll sell it to china. Is that really worth playing political games over?
8. The NLRB sued Boeing over their establishment of a new plant in South Carolina. Does Obama support their actions and why hasn't played a larger role?
9. Is constant anti-business rhetoric helpful to employment?
10. Why not eliminate regulation that hinder people from starting their own company? It is easier to start up a company in China than the US. Ridiculous!

All these policies hurt employment and crush the poor. Will 60 Minutes ask these tough questions or just let Obama filibuster and ignore the real issues. (apparently so!!!)

President Obama is 100 percent correct when he said all the republican candidates are proposing the same policies that got us into the financial meltdown. People will eventually understand the the GOP stands for Greedy Old Party

This fool doesn't have a clue. He talks about the economy as if it is an angry sea or its Nature like the weather which he can do nothing about. Its his job to come up with creative solutions! And, he has nothing. Others have said it: we ALL know what's wrong. Some guy in Iowa was saying they should give Maytag a tax break to stay there. Why give these children cake and ice cream?! I say in order for Maytag to sell their products in the US they have 2 to 3 years to bring 80% of their manuf.here! But, this would require gov't mandates. The GOP would say NO! Obama is a bigger whimp than Carter; I would be pounding my fists on the desk and call these repugs. out publicly every day asking them the same question.

Did Obama say the bankers et al didn't break any laws? Why is it his chief investigator says he found numerous crimes? This B.O. is a fraud and a crook! I hope the public sends him a message of maybe 2% 0f the vote. You notice how in his own mind he is right and everyone else is wrong? BTW I can give good examples where Newt also lies to the American people; he's not just dishonest in his personal life. We have a corrupt, failed state hyjacked by big business.
