Mr. Schweizer's spotlight on soft corruption appears to be a flood light in Congress. I'm disgusted. I'd like some real term limits placed on them all. Pelosi, Boehner, Bachus .... don't they have any character at all?

I can't wait 'til 2012 to get our paltry 3.5% SS increase while, at the same time, our Medicare premiums are increasing. Meanwhile, Congress simply holds its hand out to special interests and gets a windfall in IPO profits. It's all about the dollar in Washington - legislators first, the rest of us at the end of the line. Quite simply a disgrace!

What a great story finally being told! We all knew it or thought that our congress have always been crooked! This is a new light on 9/11. Don't we all know that Bush is collecting money on oil and so much more politicians?
They are really going to be what destroys every American dream just by their immorality!
The real story is we are just doomed!! America is going to be one big dark and gloomy place to be just like the futuristic movies show due to greedy and immoral people in Congress!

This is the problem with America today. We no longer have a single person in Washington who is there to help America but simply there to guarantee that they are wealthy. They have all lost touch with reality and have forgotten who put them there. We need to all stand up as a nation and say "Enough" and boot them all out and investigate all of their investments over the time that they were in office and take back what was gained through underfhanded practices! Politicians are truly the scum of the earth.

Is there a point, Mrs. Pelosi? You bet there's a point! The point is that you and most of your colleagues are taking the public for a ride and using your position to make your fortunes while we slog it out waiting for you numbskulls to help the average American. Prepare yourselves for a march on Washington next year unless something is done

Steve Kroft and associates - GOOD report on Congress and insider trade matters.
I have a related idea that would make a fascinating documented tablulation>
Regarding ALL members of US Congress, make a spreadsheet showing each member's net worth at the time they entered service in Congress, and what it is (their personal net worth) NOW. That alone would alone, I'm confident, be a very eye-opening report. It should be published, and often. This coming national election year would be a good time to provide such researched information.
Thanks for your time and continued work for your viewers.

Respectfully, Richard Thorne North Carolina cliffswc@hotmail.com

I find the hypocrisy disgusting! I think I need to send a letter to my elected officials in DC. Integrity? I think these politicians need to go back to school to learn what the word means. And I think the American people should be calling or writing their elected officials to put a stop to this practice. Its really no wonder why people are so far removed from politics. Who the hell can we trust anymore. Maybe next time we go to the polls, we need to vote out every single one of them!!! And then let the new ones coming in know we are watching!!!

I don't understand how our elected officials can act this way. Washington DC makes Wall Street look like a bunch of angels. How about a little integrity?
