- VOILA! The answer! Barry can rush over there and give a speech to the Taliban; even offer them an open hand if they unclench theirs! Plus, he can "MAKE IT CLEAR" that the USA will no longer interfere with the destiny of foreign nations. Geez, what took me so long!

- We're about to ABANDON yet another country that we set up for disastrous failure. WHEN will the USA EVER learn that WAR is WAR and there is NOTHING between peace and war. It's one OR the other. And, while we're at it, WHEN if ever, will we start obeying the CONSTITUTION which gave--exclusively--the POWER to declare war to Congress, not the President. Not that Congress would do any better! Dear God, help us.

- Barry Obama trumpeted his expertise in KNOWING just what to do in Afghanistan; now it's a quagmire and he "needs time to think out it, to 'get it right'." Well, Mr. Acorn, you can't vote "present" on this one.

- Now that this general has told the Taliban how to fight us (surround yourself with civilians and we won't shoot back), we have no chance to prevail. Pull the troops out now and save thousands of soldiers lives.

- What a disgrace. What an absolute disgrace. Obama is putting this issue off to avoid rifts in his own party so that he can get his precious entitlement passed. Meanwhile, this President is letting people die for his political game. He hired this General to give him advice. The advice is in. The verdict is in. Send more troops or you will lose the war and lose more American lives. Why is he not listening to his own commanders? Why has it taken him a month with no firm commitment to even speak about this issue? And when he does speak he wants to make sure he has his 'strategy' correct. The community-organizer, university professor president wants to make sure he has his 'strategy' correct before he follows the dire advice of his own commanders? The strategy is to win the war and to listen to your generals yousorry, sorry, pitiful little man.

Our troop strength grew to 500,000--55,000 dead and finally just withdrawing at the end just like the French did before us!

- Ha! I love when people try to put this on Obama. You mean the guy who's been in office less than 8 months?!? Bush had troops in Afghanistan LONG before Obama even decided to run. Obama's simply had to take over. If you don't know that, you're about as clueless as a fossilized rock.
Having said that...Obama needs to do something about the situation. I'm of the opinion that we should have never got involved in that quagmire to begin with. And I'm of the opinion that people who plan on harming America doesn't need an entire country to base operations. And, seeing we're not wanted there by the people...I say we just pack up shop and head on home...with the warning of "Don't make us come back here...if we do, this place will forever be a parking lot". - Reply to this comment
