Comments on: Michael Vick: "I Blame Me"

- Let's give one big cheer to the Eagles! They have just signed a terrific athlete, Michael Vick, to their team. What an awesome pick! He's been called "one of the most electrifying players" around today. I know that comment was made ONLY about his football playing ability because, lets face it, without that pig skin in his hand he has a hard time forming complete sentences. I guess that is why he has hired a team of PR people to consult with him on how to come across as being sorry and regretful of his previous actions....I don't how much the PR people are getting to help him but personally a dollar a day is way too much if all that coaching only resulted in what I saw on the 60 Minutes interview. On second thought I take that back, even the greatest teachers in the world can only teach what each student is ABLE to learn. But a tip on making Vick a little more believable would be to tell him to wipe that stupid grin and vacant stare off his face! I couldn't tell if he was trying so hard to remember what he should say or if he was just so proud of himself for remembering what he did say. Either way it was not sincere or believable in any way.
Well I got a little side-tracked there but I would like to finish my comment by pointing out to the Eagles Management and owners that by using Vick and his talent on the field they have an awesome responsibility to do what is right at the end of his career. If you play it right Vick will earn lots of money for you and your team and lets face it the dollar is always the bottom line (otherwise you would not have considered angering many, MANY, MANY fans and other Americans by giving this person a chance to continue his dream in the NFL). When the time comes and MIchael Vick has played his last promising game it is now your responsibility to end his career the proper way. We can all agree that Michael vick has talent on the field but off the field he has nothing to offer society. So I say take a look at his view on animals that no longer brought profit to his table...he had no problem killing those dogs that no longer would fight or were unable to win a fight so I say HELLO KARMA!!! Thats right, hang the bastard from a tree, electrocute him or drown him! I would choose the more painfull way to go because he doesn't deserve quick and easy but as long as I know that piece of crap is burning eternally I will smile!
PS What's with the I BLAME ME statement PR people? Who else would we blame? - Reply to this comment
- Don't know where first comment went so here it is again. How nice of AFL to give this piece of garbage a second chance, who is giving the dogs he and others like him murdered...none there! All the poor, helpless, innocent animals he murdered as still just as dead as before. He has no mercy and he deserves no mercy, second chance or "understanding". What's to understand.... he murdered countless animals for NO reason other than money. And now he is being paid more money by some stupid football team. The ONLY thing this sociopath piece of garbage regrets is getting caught. Any anyone who thinks differently is a fool. If he hadn't got caught he would still be doing what he did before. He is a criminal and that is all he will ever be. He is wasting space and air that a human could be using and the world would be better off without him and his kind. He should be getting the same treatment he dished out to those poor dogs.

- So...he is being given a second chance...how nice. What about the poor dogs that were brutally MURDERED by others (which he allowed) or by his own hands...no second chance here. This living waste should be getting the exact same treatment he dished out to those poor, helpless animals. There should be NO mercy for him and others like him at all. The ONLY thing he is sorry about or regrets is the fact that he got caught. He is a sick, pathetic, sociopath that has no conscience, remorse or sense of decency and is wasting air than a human could be breating. The world would be better without him and his kind.

- Hanging, electrocuting and drowning dogs does not show poor judgement, it shows a severe character flaw & total lack of human decency.

- I hope you're reading this you sorry SOB- Vick, you can rot in hell for all I care. He had NO remorse for the animals he killed, just remorse for getting caught. He doesn't give a crap about the animals. Such a short prison sentence, too. I wish he was never allowed to play any kind of professional sport again. What a loser.

- THIS IS THE MOST ON-POINT COMMENT I'VE READ SO FAR:
"NSUMAN: I think you get it. You are angry at those Klansmen who tortured and killed Emmit Till. But think how you would feel if they went on TV, said they made a terrible mistake, said it was wrong and that they were sorry that they let down THEIR families (forget about Emmit Till's mother). Would you say, well, they got what the law said they deserved (say 20 years) let us give these men a second chance..."
So.... It IS about consequences. He may have served his jail time, but he will have to deal with the consequences of his actions for the rest of his life, just like the rest of us.
One consequence is you have lost our respect. Another is you don't get to be a sports hero, someone children especially tend to look up to.
Vick left jail and hightailed it straight to a strip club with a gansta rapper. Not to see his family. Not to see the two children he fathered out of wedlock. Not to a school to talk to inner city kids about the evils of animal abuse.
This sociopath is a train wreck waiting to happen. Again. - Reply to this comment
- I don't believe a word he said, he is being told by his attorneys and agents what to say. Look at the smile on his face the entire interview. I just hope the kids he may talk to in the future believe what he has to say, that's the only thing that can become good of all of this. I cannot believe he get's to play football again, this world is alllllllll about $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Makes me sick!!

- Lets see whether you are an avid FOOTBALL fan most of you have dogs and children. Did you even listen to that interview? "He realized his mistake AFTER the prison doors shut, he cried because he was in prison and was cut off from the world and his family" AWWWW "Regardless of lost lives" Im sure he would feel differntly if it was his friends or family. "There were reasons" WHAT?? What makes you torture, rape an animal, shoot etc a poor innocent animal for you enjoyment? "You didnt stop it for the fear of loosing your career and family, and football dosnt matter the 135 mill" So, what kind of role model is Vick for our children that look up to him? He lied, did some time and walks back out on the field. Than I guess thats the lessons of life. If he dosnt care about football than maybe he should work in an animal rescue shelter SAVING ANIMALS 4 the rest of his life and thank GOD he wasnt put in a ring with 2 pits!!! This is not a RACE issue why the world makes it one. He did it on is own accord! He better just pray as he got his second chance he dosnt get to heaven and God's surrounded by PITBULLS!!!Maybe his time was served and could come out and show that he could do good for the community and for ANIMALS but to be reinstated GIVE ME A BRAEK!

- If you are telling The Humane Society that they should be ashamed, get off of your butt and start volunteering your time to make a difference with the animals. He made a bad choice in life, its what humans do in life. He served his time, paid his debt and will work on making a difference. I am sure you all are so perfect in your world.NOT! I love my boxers, bunny, geckos and you know what-I forgive him and I believe he is sorry and ashamed of what he has done. As for the rest of you-SHUT UP AND VOLUNTEER YOUR TIME and if you do, you know what work he has ahead of him and the difference he can make for the good of all animals.
