Way don't you liberal posters just shut up, your anti-military nonsense makes me wonder why any of you still call yourself patriots

Good job CBS, may the world celebrate the strength of freedom - and may freedom's enemies know that there is nowhere to hide

Cowards? How about the cowards that took over 3000 innocent lives on September 11th, 2001? We must never forget what those cowards did to our innocent citizens. Their goal is to end the freedom that we have had, and that we have to protect every day. God bless America.

Let's stop the video games.

One hundred Afgan civilians were killed last Monday.

You don't fight a guerilla war with regular troops. You need special forces who are familiar with local language and ways, who can infiltrate the local mobs.

How much more US$ are we going to waste, while the United States is going bankrupt?

WE helped the Soviets go bankrupt in Afganistan 20 years ago. - REMEMBER?

The Reaper and Predator unmanned drones along with Global Hawk provide much more capability than manned aircraft ever have. These drones can stay in the air for nearly a day or longer. This provides much more capability than manned aircraft. Taking the pilot out of the cockpit is a godsend because you do not have to worry about fatigue, oxygen supplies, rescue after being shot down etc. The weight saved by stripping the pilot gear out of the aircraft platform allows much greater efficiency in operations. Cameras can be turned wherever they are needed to provide "eyes in the sky" for soldiers on the ground. The ability to distinguish infrared images of just fired rifles for instance allows much help identifying and finishing off bad guys. For the infantry soldier on the ground these unmanned programs are vital not only for the success of their missions but also their personal safety in a combat zone. Mass produce these Predators and Reapers buy the tens of thousands. Then make sure every infantry combat brigade in harm's way gets all the air support they need. Linkage between the computers in the Stryker vehicles for example and unmanned drones cameras in the sky will allow unprecedented reconnaissance capabilities for the infantry units and their commanders in the field. Build these unmanned drones by the tens of thousands. Every drone plane produced and deployed will save American lives and make them more successful at completing their missions. God bless these drone planes they help keep our people safe and help the bad guys die for their country.

This guys that fly these drones from thousands of miles away. These guys are the most cowardly sons of ******* I have seen for quite awhile. I was a grunt in Vietnam, drafted. That was a criminal war but this, this murder from 7500 miles away is something else. How many innocent people have these murderers killed. And when will the government start using this technology against us? If they haven't already.

These two aircraft would have some very positive utilization capabilities!

But, the Air Force needs to be careful in what it asks for---and needs to make sure it doesn't become a victim of it's own success!

Over time, under mass production, the cost per unit will become miniscule in comparison to the array of fighter-jets they use, now! Then, there is the cost of pilot training and parts supply, etcetera!

A few national emergencies down the road, an imploded economy, etcetera; if barebones cuts are or were needed, the AF may be asked to greatly reduce it's active human pilot programs in favor of the drones program!

Point: what seems like a good idea now---may not be---at some point in the future!

Hey, this is good news, maybe eventually we'll even have "virtual" wars too!
