- We are the ones who keep meddling in foreign affairs, we started two invasions and occupations for our oil companies. We patriots who criticize our corrupt government want to make things better. The flag waving hypocrites who blindly follow failed government should be the ones to leave America, thank you very much.

- Why don't all of you "Hate America" and "America last" people just move to Iran and enjoy the lifestyle of one of the countries you idolize. Is a strong United States military really that much of a horror to you? Is everyone in a uniform evil in your eyes? Are you so blind that you think the Taliban is a group of peaceful farmers?

- Maybe its because I am a women..but I found this report ludicrous...a bunch of little boys, dressed up in army clothes, getting their testosterone high by killing what they have been told are real bad people according to our morally superior point of view....with little concern and no threat to themselves, made me ill.....why not just play a game of cut-throat chess and call it good...I can't help but wonder how we would react if Mexico decided to start bombing Phoenix or El Paso because there were drug and gun runners, possibly living among the civilians

- the was the most disgusting story i have seen in a good long time. i just have to ask..who have we become??? there is a debate going on about whether we should torture other humans and now this. humans in nevada are sitting at computers pulling the trigger on humans in another country and seem to think it's just fine. if fact they almost look like immature teenage boys playing video games. i repeat ...disgusting and that's the nicest thing i can think of to say. and the fact that my tax dollars are paying for this horror makes me sick. i sure as hell don't feel safer, just incredibly dirty.

- I saw that presentation of 60 Minutes last night, and was totally fascinated! We need to bring all our ground troops home, then set up drone pilots at every U.S. base around the world. No more lives need to be lost, no more living need to be maimed.

- .Somebody tell me again, why are we waging a full-scale assault on Afghanistan? These are strictly local Taliban defending their homeland, not ?international terrorists? looking for a round two on US targets.
There should have been a disclaimer title on the piece and a subtitle ?War Criminal? under the picture of the remote pilot Lt. Col.Gough who Lara was fawning over. I?m glad I don?t go to that little Eichman?s church. I would empty the communion wine over his head. Then he would have Christ?s blood on his head as well as the real blood of Afghan children on his hands. Remote drones mean remote morality.

- Last evening I found myself thinking about the glory days of 60 Minutes' edgy investigative reporting--those days are long gone. Now I guess I have to settle for puff-pieces about new military toys. Why were there no opposing viewpoints in this story? Did you even know that bombing is considered by many reasonable experts to be a war crime (Read A History of Bombing by S. Lindqvist)? Bombing is a cowardly form of warfare; bombing from 7000 miles away is cowardice to the 10th power. This removes completely he risk of the perpetrator being injured or killed--a major inhibiting factor in humans' attacking others. And the notion that these drones and their 'pilots' never make mistakes is just preposterous.
CBS News has become the propaganda arm of the military industrial complex, and Lara Logan is he spokeswoman. I have been watching 60 Minutes all my adult life; I will never watch 60 Minutes again. - Reply to this comment
- Pilotless aircraft have been in developement since 1917. In the early 1980's they were flying passenger jets with remote technology. If you want proof of my statements find a book from Collier press dated 1977 titled Janes Pocket book of Remotely Piloted Vehicles which was a series of military books during the Vietnam era.
It kinda makes me wonder who piloted the drone into the Pentagon on September 11, 2001? - Reply to this comment
- I can't wait to see one of these strapped with a MOAB.

- What about the "DISPORPORTIONATE USE OF FORCE " - IS it fair that we have such sophisticated weapons and our people are not killed ? Of course it is, just like it is fair for the Israel nation to use what it can to protect its peoples, esp. we have the same enemy, Islamic Fascism , who cut of heads and video tape it.
The next time Israel defends itself, and the UN meets to stop the DISPROPORTIONATE use of FORCE, what will you think ???? - Reply to this comment
