I do not want to disparage the man's service, but to suggest the VP's son is facing the same dangers and hardships of our combat forces in Iraq is ridiculous. The VP's son is serving in Iraq as a military lawyer. He is not leading troops in the field.

One would have thought the VP would have acknowledged that in his answer to Ms Stahl's question. Of course, Joe never was shy about shading the truth.

Pinlight, you have got to be kidding me. What you mean is "I just woke up and find myself in a very bad nightmare." Plus, I am swearing off of 60 Minutes...what a biased bunch of people.

with the President. These gentleman have earned the right and it is proper form to call them "President Obama" and "Vice President Biden".

Earned the right??? All they did was win a popularity contest.

If you want to refer someone that earned a title then ever combat soldier should have their rank permanently affixed to their name ever after they separate from the military, THAT?S earning a title

To all the Press, next time please ask him tougher questions and share them with the Americans Public; we want to know. Please ask President Obama and him and others about their perspective views about the torture in the prison camp and the excessive killing force in Waco. Has somebody or organization asked to release the memos and orders of the Waco's mishap? ; then we might understand that the the letter "A" that they use will represent Al-Qaeda or American. We all like retrospect and perspective and human rights and civil liberty and balance of powers.

CBS, you really need to change the type of video that you use. It's just annoying to have something that slow and that restart the all downloading if you do a mere skipback or forward. Definitly bad and plain wrong.

You said 'I think he can be ready, but right now I don't believe he is. The presidency is not something that lends itself to on-the-job training.'" Sen. Biden: "I think that I stand by the statement."

Joe Biden while running against BO. Love that Joe.

I for one am glad to have this team in the White House. After 8 years of secrecy, intrigue, lies, torture and fear, the thoughtful responses of Pres. Obama and Joe Biden's consideration for people are like a breath of fresh air. Thank God that we at least now have a fighting chance to regain our status in the world. It's like we just woke up from a very bad dream.

I think they are the epitome of amature incompetence wrapped in a smarmy cover that sells well in todays press. No substance, all glitz. No wonder he is called the Big O.

If you are in a different party....who cares ...we need to all work together and make positive things happen
You don't have to nick pick and cause Trouble....for President OBAMA...Give him RESPECT.....no matter how good he is doing ...you will get Azz holes like Lesley, trying to ask negative stupid, dis-respectful questions....that basically, show her hate....
A interview or reporter should not add their personal views....

When people do not treat their fellow man with respect, dignity, and cause trouble on purpose...then it would come back to you 10 folds....
you can sit around in your position and cause trouble and nick -pick and watch and ostracized all you want...
there is a higher power....

Lesley Stahl is a trouble maker........this was the WORSE interview I have ever seen in all my Years of TV...
She kept asking "Negative acurzational questions...that pertain to or "wishing for" type of questions....Question to try to cause strife...Totally dis-respectful....
Then she starts smiling with these overly white veneered teeth...and behind that fake smile was a "trouble Maker" wanting something negative to happen...and trying to use her interview to portray the Obama administration in a negative tone............trying to start "Trouble"
If It was me, I would have walk out! she is a disgrace to journalism.....
Basically, the republicans is making trouble for the Obama administration.....they are so jealous they watch and nick pick every move President OBAMA make...the way he shakes people hands, the way he walks...Mrs. OBAMA arms...are you kidding me....GET A LIFE!
If They were so concern about everything...They should have nick pick Bush and his buddies

Let's not forget Biden's personal attack, another gaffe, on the freedom of internet downloaders last week. How stupid and careless can this fool be to deride internet usage after it helped finance this idiot's rise in power!

One other thing I wanted to say is that our "Liberal" party is not the same as your "Liberal" party. And the same for our Conservative party. We have a party called the "NDP". It stands for the "New Democrat Party". It too isn't the same as your "Democrat" party. In the U.S. the Liberal party is the same as the Democrats, right?

And is it just Americans who label people?

Posted by gravypants at 8:19 PM : Apr 26, 2009

I don't know what other countries do, but here, no we don't label people. Yes, we have different parties, but people don't necessarily agree with everything that they stand for. I might agree with some things and not with others. I will vote for the party that has the most things that I agree. But that could change every election. Actually I vote for the person, not necessarily the "party".

We really don't discuss politics here. No one knows who a person votes for. It's no ones business. I have always heard "Don't discuss politics or religion". They can cause WARS. : )

I could believe that nobody should have guns, yet not believe anything else that a Liberal supposedly is supposed to believe in.

I'm not a Liberal.
Posted by erasmus111

Me either, people tend to assume if you don't see things eye to eye.
Posted by gravypants at 8:02 PM : Apr 26, 2009

Why do Americans put labels on everyone?

So because I don't believe everyone should have a gun, that makes me a Liberal? All Republicans believe in having guns? There's not one Republican that that believes that everyone shouldn't have guns? And there's not one Liberal that believes that everyone should have guns? I don't get it.
