Hey brianbwb-2009
I'm just making a point for neighborhoods only , you get excersize, you make power for your neighborhood the electric companies have nothing to do with it. Its done by the people of the neighborhood not slave labor . But the only reason i put this post on here was to prove a point, as usual it doesn't matter what you say there's always an excuse on why can't do anything in this country, if it's clean coal or wind, solar power its to hard we got to have the government do it for us. Well why can't neighborhoods or subdivions make there own power, whether you have to push a turbine or let wind do it. Why does government have to stick there nose in everything, can't people think and do for themselves.

Only imaginably feasable if you get paid for it, otherwise why should slave labor generate profit for the controllers? Do you still believe in the myth of the altruism of big business? Do you think the utilities will simply give up the cash cow, and not find a way to profit from slave labor?

And what about rural areas, do they get a free pass, because of population scarcity?

I feel you should re-think your post.

People power over coal power !!!!!!
A article posted said overweight people will create a BILLION TONNES of CO2 a year according to World Health Organisation. Will we can fix this, remember the movie conan the barbarian when he was a kid pushing the wheel when growing up. How about in neighborhoods we install wheel electric turbines and overweight people can push them to create electricity for the neighborhood. They lose weight, takes less energy to make food, plus less energy for the delivery of food, and its better for the environment. Also you are in better shape and this will help with healthcare.
General Electric gets to sell more turbines which is good for the economy and your making power for electric cars (Good for All American Car Companies) and your home. Then when overweight people have slim downed, everybody in neighbor hood then can contribute in this program. If you don't participate in this program you don't get power unless you have a doctors note. And guess what, this is all done in your neighborhood. No coal fire power plants making acid rain or global warming IT'S A WIN FOR EVERYBODY !!!

If you think CO2 is harmless, try sitting for 15 minutes in a room filled with CO2, you won't survive long, which is a hallmark indicator of a poison. Even if the room is only 3/4 full of CO2, you probably wont last very much longer, because since it is heavier than oxygen and nitrogen, it sits in the lower part of the room.

As for climate change, the argument is irrelevant, because it is fact that we have the tech to not contribute so rapidly and so much to overall sources of pollution. To refuse to use it because of some neo money worship, is to place money over life, which then refutes any arguments the neos might have on other life matters, like abortion, for example.

Co2 is not a poison. Every living thin either expells it or consumes it.

Most of these people posting here don't seem to remember when Pittsburgh was a legendarily polluted city, which was cleaned up almost miraculously when scrubbers were made mandatory for the coal-fired steel plants, many of which are still in service.

Anyone complaining about efforts to make our air more breathable costing too much obviously have the wrong priorities, utilities are supposed to serve humankind, not kill them. Do such people value their own lives so little that a matter of someone else saving dollars is more important than their own health?

Your coal story is flawed from the beginnug as there is no difinitive proof that CO2 causes Global Warming. Global temperature fluctuations are cause by the sun and the oceans. You also incorrectly stated the co2 is the largest form of greenhouse gas. Water vapor is. The atmosphere is composed of only 0.033% co2. Come 60 Min. You are better than this. Why don't you explore the fallacy of global warming and the huge expence its bad science will cost us all. These are dollars that could be put to use protecting our oceans and helping the disadvantaged.

NUCLEAR IS THE ONLY VIABLE SOLUTION. WIND & SOLAR IS NO SUBSTITUTE BECAUSE IT'S NOT AVAILABLE 24/7.

Several years ago, Japan wanted to conduct a sequestration experiment in the deep ocean near Hawaiian water. It created great controversy. Carbon dioxide is a "poison"! It would have killedd any life form in the area and would have made miles of ocean seabed unsustainable for any life, forever.

Now, Jim Rogers wants to do the same thing in your state.
