- Jindal looks like Mr. Roger's Neighborhood.
He doesn't have a clue how to run a state let alone a country.
New Orleans is still a mess, they have no jobs except Dollar General or Save-A-Lot stores.
It's ridiculous.
He should welcome a high speed train system to help put the people in his state back to work.
No wonder why unemployment is so high in Louisania. - Reply to this comment
- No, CBS and the other networks aren't biased leftist networks. Jindal's more qualified than President Socialist is. This Obama doesn't know what the hell he's doing. This trillion dollar spending bill is going to destroy the economy. Every time this guy talks the market drops.

- All this talk about who will emerge as the GOP party leader, and what the GOP message should be really belies how much George W. Bush has broken the party.
Other than currenty being the party of "NO", they have absolutely no credibility. They rail against deficits, after running up the largest in history. They are bereft of ideas and leadership.
And if Limbaugh and Jindhal are all they've got left, they are in big trouble. - Reply to this comment

- I recall Bill Clinton was slow on the uptake at first and NO ONE gave him and chance at winning the DEM nomination. Better not underestimate Jindal. Lets see what he does for LA in next 2 years.

- We all worship Ronald Reagan.

Not all of us! Some, like myself, saw him for the evil he was. May he and all that worship him (was not there something about having no God before me in the Bible?) roast in hell. Our current problems all stem from his idiocy. Hey, Hiltler, turn reagan over, he is well done on one side..... - Reply to this comment

- Morley Safer ?? Exactly how old is this old f*art??? 101?? 102 years old maybe??
About ten years back I saw him in an airport waiting for a plane....
I wonder then why he didn't have a full medical staff attending him, oxygen bottles and wheel chairs??
Back then warmed over death looked better than he did. - Reply to this comment

Yep....by trotting out little bobby jindal in the hopes of changing the looks of a CONStipated CONServatoid party in exile, the GOP only proved they have exactly the same old, tired message of the old, white guy's party with just a different messenger -- hardly ready for primetime, much like caribou barbi.
The republiCON party is the party of NO -- NO VISION -- NO SOLUTIONS -- NO NEW IDEAS -- just the same old tired message supporting the wealthiest Americans! - Reply to this comment

- Take it from someone who lives in Louisiana, this man is a political charleton. He continually runs for the next highest office while doing practically nothing in the office he holds. He did pass ethics reforms in Louisiana, but made sure they don't pertain to the
Governor's office. Louisiana under Jindal has gone from 49th to 50th in practically every category of quality of living: education, health care, crime. He talks about smaller government, yet he increased the size of state government by 20%.
Jindal is running for president using the Bush/Rove formula: pander to the religious right wing extremists, get their money, their votes, and tell them what they want to hear.
His record of accomplishments could be written on a postage stamp.
He rubber stamped every Bush proposal that put us into the mess we're in now. Where was his bold speeches on economic conservatism while he was in congress sinking our economy?
I hope Jindal and Palin are the future of the Republican party: along with Limbaugh, Coulter, Hannity, and the rest of the hypocrites. Watching them sink is hope for our country. - Reply to this comment
- "When we sent a reporter and photographer to India to write about his family and their origins, the Jindal family was very queasy about that undertaking,"
That's shameful! He's embarassed and ashamed of his origins? Changing his name from Piyush to "Bobby" because he related with the Brady Bunch? Now that's embarrasing! Why didn't he change his name Jindal to Jones and lighten his skin like Jacko whiles he was at it. Doesn't he have any respect for his ancestors? What do his grandparents think? With a heritage so culturally rich as India, he should be proud of it, but I guess he probably thinks it will hurt his politcal career. Instead of being ashamed, he should embrase his origins, much like Obama did of his Kenyan roots, even choosing to go by his Kenyan name, Barak, istead of Barry. - Reply to this comment
- The Jindal piece is an embarrassment harkening back to a time when anyone who wanted to claim an American identity had to shed any trace of ethnicity. It's too bad that Jindal seems so ashamed of his Indian background. How much better to embrace an America that would allow him to take pride in both his American and Indian identity. Jindal is a big phoney. 60 minutes has really gone downhill. What a sad puff piece, especially given Jindal's abysmal rebuttal to Obama's address to Congress.

- It is embarrassing to watch the Republican Attack Machine that began with the election of President Obama. The Republican Party has become a joke: Palin Palin? Joe the Plumber? Rush? When John McCain steps up with his opinion, I want to vomit. If his opnion were relevant and if anyone wanted to hear it, he would be President today, not Obama.
Everyone is, of course, entitled to their opinion; however, the Republican stance appears to be that there is NOTHING that the new administration can do right. The attacks are deeply personal and extremely disrespectful of the office of the individual who was elected by a majority vote.
I pray for the day when President Obama simply drops the curtain and completely cuts out all of the Republicans. He doesn't need you - and you don't need to attend anymore White House functions. The silent treatment would be perfect. Then you would be in the position to continue whining, but you wouldn't need to take the blame for anything that might go wrong.
Of course, you also won't be in the position to take credit for Obama's plan when it succeeds. - Reply to this comment

- Thank God they got rid of the loser Governor in charge during Katrina, the "real" failure of that hurricane. I like Bobby and hope he goes far, he's young with good ideas and I hope he helps his State to do great things. I wished we had him in Michigan instead of that loser Granholm.
